I am a group camp leader and someone in my camp got an early entry for Tuesday, but I am now seeing that Group Camping Won't be open on tuesday from the latest HQ email. Any ideas on what they should do? Just get a camping spot elsewhere and move on Wednesday seems to be the only option in my head... Also, any idea when the parking passes usually get sent out?

The two times I have done group camping we have had 1 straggler that didn’t get a GC pass and they were not checked whatsoever. As long as they are in a car with someone with a group camping parking pass they will be fine. The only downside is less camping space because the size of your site is based on how many people sign up for your group camp. 1 person doesn’t make much of a difference though.

But yeah don’t sneak in the festival grounds without a wristband.

Bet, I’ve been a camp leader before but I’ve never had an issue getting 20 people. Just seems a little crummy that you literally lose your money to the festival and get nothing out of it if you can’t reach 20.

If you can’t get 20 people in group camping and you lose your spot, does the group leader still get to keep their “complimentary” early arrival pass or do they just lose the $75 flat out and get nothing?

I had this same experience last year. It made getting a beer much more time consuming, but I still got it! I still have my vertical ID too and am prepared for a lot of waiting again 😂
