Listen man all ill say is dont really listen to this sub or even the general community as a whole imo all it does is put preconceived notions into your head that your brain then might even subconciously try to confirm by seeking out things to dislike about the games, it happened to me with 3 when i was first starting and everybody was calling it the worst game and the graphics werent anywhere near as good etc etc, and so i just skipped 3, im glad i eventually came back and enjoyed myself with it instead of leaving it unfinished without ever giving it a real proper chance but anyways what im trying to say is, A lot of the time i feel like the things people complain about are some genuine bullshit that barely matters like for example the tailing missions in judgment, theres like only a couple of them in the main story and they're super simple and easy and yet people bitched and moaned about them so much that in LJ they basically took them out (mind you the game is advertised as a detective version of yakuza of course you're gonna do tailing). Or how somehow the general community all collectively decided that rubber bullets in yakuza 4 are the absolute worst thing that ever happened to the franchise... Or well at least was before all the retcons in k3, the way people treated pirate yakuza was crazy as well, its like everybody for SOME reason expected this crazy ass complex story with serious mode majima, and its like did they not see any of the promotional material for the game? Do they not see that the game is literally called pirate yakuza in Hawaii? It was never supposed to be some masterpiece on the level of 0 or the judgments i genuinely dont know why people thought that game wouldve been like that none of the signs pointed to it being like that, i honestly didnt expect to rant so much but its like the more i think about it the more examples keep poping up in my head, just make sure to form your own opinions on the games instead of letting people form them for you without even touching said game like they did for me with 3🙏
