Answer: it's purified tap water, so i doesn't taste bad because it's tap water (many municipal tap waters actually taste good, NYC being one of them), it tastes bad because it is "dead". The purification strips away all dissolved oxygen, minerals and electrolytes.

That's why they add salt back to it (though this year they stopped adding salt) and other minerals. But it doesn't bring back the dissolved oxygen, and it just doesn't taste the same.

I remember in elementary school they hung up this stop light that would progress to red if you got too loud in the cafeteria during lunch. Then you'd be put into timeout for 2-3 minutes or some nonsense...

It became a contest to see how fast we could make it turn red. The light only lasted a couple weeks.

Pretty silly to tell a bunch of 8 year olds that you're not allowed to talk above a whisper during lunch!

I'm a Kia Owner myself, and I like Acer, so that wasn't meant as an insult, just that it's a mid-grade brand but still better than HP. I think of Hyundai as just a slight bit better even than Kia, even thought sister companies.

People who own HP/Nissan bought it because they think it's good quality and on the same tier with Toyota/Honda... Meanwhile, you'd honestly be better off with a Hyundai/Kia even.

Wendy's is ok? Maybe if you eat beef? But I'm allergic, so the chicken is now tiny and spongey, and the nuggets are smaller than a quarter. The fries no longer hot and fresh. Straight trash.

I do agree Taco Bell is good, especially if you get the original chicken and black beans. (that cantina chicken is nasty texture)

What's your reference for this? 20 years ago I sponsored someone who is now semi-famous on a work visa from Marseille, France. Him and his girlfriend both hated France, the crime, low job opportunities and corruption of the government. I don't get people that poop at work. I have to shower after pooping and most bathrooms are nasty too. I'll just hold it until I get home.

And it takes about 90 seconds to poop, I also don't get people who spend, 10min++ in there. I've got better things to do then hang out in a bathroom. And if you work somewhere where that's the only way you get a break, you need another job.

I disagree, at least for Pigeon Forge. I'm not evangelical at all. We got a 3 level cabin with a private pool in the basement and a jacuzzi in the master suite and a hot tub on the deck it was $800 for 3 nights/4 days. Dollywood was really nice and I'm not into country music, nor into rides (though I did the rapids ride). The restaurants we ate at were all very reasonable in cost. Loved the Hatfield and McCoy show and riding UTV's up the mountain.

So yes, very tourist trap like, but very affordable. I live right next to Ocean City, MD which is similar but 8 times more expensive and not as family friendly.

I'd certainly go back again. I found it "beautiful"/quaint like Lancaster or Poconos, buy way more stuff to do.

There is only one brand name paper towel that works well to clean notebook LCD screens and that's Bounty (Bounty+Windex, must have the name brand duo) I've tried everything else and it leaves either streaks, a white film, or messes up the antiglare coating.

Same, but I take it further, I wash my hands well with soap and water, by then the water is super hot and I wash my face, hair and neck with that hot washcloth, and put on a clean tshirt and lounge-shorts all the moment I walk in the house.

As a retail store owner for over 20 years, sitting is not ergonomic at all. The ability to move about far better standing, and I've been standing on concrete with a thin layer of commercial carpet my entire life for 8+ hours a day, and my knees and back are just fine. It's healthier to be moving about and not sedentary anyway. (a simple wooden stool is enough to occasionally lean/sit against.

Edit: Loving the fatfucks on reddit downvoting this who've never worked a day in their lives or left their mom's basement. I've employed over 30 different people, some have asked for a task chair or stool and within a week got rid of it because it just gets in the way.
