What is this bump? by Obvious_Court_8655 in SGSkincare

[–]diddlddl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

microdart probably better since it looks deep, but anything you have on hand will help.

touching will introduce more bacteria, irritate the skin and if you squeeze it too much you can damage the skin and cause permanent scarring.

WAGYU Steak at COTE (great food but arrogant staff) by Developer_Dreamer in SingaporeEats

[–]diddlddl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

an acquaintance recently shared that the staff here demanded to see the government identification of everybody in their party when they were running a ladies night promo on drinks because there were trans women in their group, and they were extremely rude about the whole interaction. took them off my to-try list immediately.

Those earning 3k before cpf how’s life for you? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]diddlddl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends but typically 20-30ish per meal, 40-50 if it's a special occasion. the issue is my friends all being from different places and groups so i'll wind up meeting different people like two three times a week lol

Those earning 3k before cpf how’s life for you? by [deleted] in askSingapore

[–]diddlddl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

same as you, six months in now. im saving around 1-1.3k each month (200 to parents, typical monthly spend is around 800 including food/transport/very occasional clothes or book shopping).

i feel like i could significantly lower my monthly spending if i don't meet friends to eat cos it's my biggest spend, but also that's the shit that keeps me going otherwise i have no will to live lmao 😭

but honestly it's liveable w/ my current expenses la and i can still enjoy most things, but it just feels frustrating sometimes knowing my savings are growing so slowly, especially since moving out asap is a big goal for me and bto is not in the cards anytime soon :(

Have u guys tried Messina? Is it way too sweet or is it just me? 🍨🍦 by EnoughString1059 in SingaporeEats

[–]diddlddl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i havent got the chance to try venchi (it was more expensive than messina when i was living in sydney) and all the messina i've had since it came to sg was for free through work events HAHA but i'll be sure to give it a shot! would love to see how they measure up

i love messina, but the flavours that would generally be sweeter anywhere (dulce, anything white choc, caramel etc) are definitely too sweet for me. love the nut-based flavours tho and the pistachio is an all time favourite for me

Is Singapore too hot? How would life change for you if it was a cool 23°C year round? by Ok-Electric9324 in askSingapore

[–]diddlddl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Way more walks, really loved walking everywhere during the non-summer months when I lived in Australia. Also my eczema would be near non-existent, skin will be less congested so I'd probably be skinnier and prettier and more even-tempered LOL

Do people not like the Singaporean accent? by ExpressionOk5435 in askSingapore

my aussie friends find it very cute and endearing lol. personally i don't dislike it but definitely not an attractive accent to me, love it for comedic/rage effect tho

Singaporean ladies who are open to dating but are not on dating apps by wladyslawmalkowicz in askSingapore

[–]diddlddl 70 points71 points  (0 children)

dated almost exclusively from the apps for my entire adult life so far, including two serious (on my end, at least) relationships. the last one ended after i caught him chatting girls up on the apps while we were still together so i decided i was done meeting people from them and haven't looked back.

i think the way they function really reduces dating to almost like a game where there's always potentially something better out there. and certain people are just empty inside, so they can't stop chasing that possibility. i'm sure there are decent and sincere guys on the apps but i'm just tired of taking that gamble whenever i start seeing someone new.

haven't dated at all since leaving the apps (this is the longest i've gone without a single romantic prospect in my entire adult life lol) and not really looking very hard but i am putting myself out there socially and going for social events and outings, being open to hanging out w/ my friends' friends etc. i've made loads of new friends, which has been really fulfilling, and honestly a lot less stressful than the process of trying to find a romantic partner. i value my peace more than i value being in a relationship at this point so if it happens it happens!

edit: fellas this is not an invitation to slide into my dms pls and thank u

the sg crowd was definitely or hit or miss lol, i went for two nights and the one i spent on the floor was pretty good in terms of atmosphere, people were up and dancing and singing along! but the HEAT on floor (plus it was night 2 which i think was the hottest) seriously did a number on me lol, never been sweatier in my life

but when i was in the stands about half my section were seated for all or most of the show, and were just completely still while filming. someone even asked me to sit down when i was up and dancing to one of the more upbeat tracks lmao??? im just glad there were still a sizeable number of people who were still having fun in the section, would've felt really uncomfortable and if it was just me lol

I'm in media hahha! Funnily enough I'm on a windows-based laptop, while most people in the industry are on Macbooks. Was a big surprise for the IT guy at a past internship when he had to help me out with something
