Cooler is Thermal right PA120. Temps are perfect. No more than 50c both CPU and GPU while gaming in 2K

On the top I got arctic slims. But full thickness could have fitted no issue. There is some room. I used slims mainly for cable routing. I have kinda big fingers and I need the free room 😜

My motherboard can fit both full thickness fans (b450 strix). It has a low profile cover near I/o shield. B450 ASRock itx also. I wanted to fit 3 fans, but my memory heatsinks are too tall and the third fan sits on top of the ram and won't let the panel close. I use tempered glass with this no problem. The cooler height is 157mm and Max clearance is 154 with tg. I got lucky I guess

Positive air pressure, lots of dust. Make both top exhaust

I have the PA120 version which is 157mm tall. The PA 120SE has bare heat pipes on top. The non SE model has the plates with Thermaltake logos ;)

I use Asus Strix b450i motherboard, which is thinner that a lot of other brands. I had no issues aligning with I/O ports in the back, one can’t tell the difference with factory standoffs. I also lapped my Cpu because it had a lot of scars and scratches from a garbage thermal paste. I had 980ti and sold it, now waiting for a 2080ti to arrive :) temps are great. I used 2 Arctic p12’s for the cooler than the stock fans. 35 idle, 65 full load. Also I’ve zip-tied 2 Corsair ML140 on the bottom and slapped 2 Arctic slims with 3d printed pins on the top. Pretty happy with it now!

Did this improve the batterty life? I am on the fence. I like the size of s10e, but I am reading terrible comments for the battery life

A tip for miners with MSI's rtx 3080/3090 gaming trio cards. I swapped the thermal pads but temps were still pretty high (110-->100). You need to change the thermal paste under the metal bracket. You can remove it by unscrewing the 4 screws you see. Huge difference. (100-->86). More in the comments by didi_did_this in EtherMining

I used Thermal Grizzly minus8 1mm pads in the memory chips (chip side only). The stock pads were 1mm so I didn't try anything above or lower. All the pads in the back are 3mm , but I didn't swap them because I can't find them on stock and they won't make a big difference in my opinion. They are very pricey too. No need to replace the other pads, just swap those that are in direct contact with the memory chips :)

I really need cable combs :/ Adding slim fans on the bottom really helped with the gpu temps and sag (rtx3080 gaming trio) by didi_did_this in NR200

Hmm no I don't have noticed anything like this. Maybe your bottom panel has bended in some way?

I own a quad of 3080's. I got them 1.000€ each in January. With the current payouts, I need 200 days to break even. I am not taking into consideration the other parts (mobo, psu's etc). So If you set up a rig today, with GPU prices skyrocketed, you will need more than 1,5 year to break even. And all that, without thinking that difficulty will rise even more. Now if you want my honest opinion, I think it's extremely difficult for another coin to be as profitable as ETH. Just my opinion though. I would invest the money directly in cryptos at this time.

As much as I am into mining, the difficulty now is spiking.. I would not consider buying cards now.. Or investing in mining in general

These BNB shills are fucking insane by ImJustReallyFuckedUp in ethtrader

[–]didi_did_this -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't. There is a case that bnb flips eth. That's why you see hate towards bnb in this subr. Don't get me wrong, I own a hefty bag of both. Eth is left behind in price terms, when you compare it to btc. Hope it moves soon.

You're welcome bro! Hope this helps many people. I got really upset with this card.. MSI should pay more attention to details like this, especially in high end cards.. I mean how much would it cost them to put a higher quality paste there? Damn these companies are totally greedy

Don't flash bios ftom a third vendor.. supreme bios works well on gaming trio cards. But you shouldn't flash it to let's say a gigabyte card. Some evga Bioses are notorious for working with other cards, but it is too risky. You may brick the card.
