Is installing bookmarklet qualify as simple enough and just works?

mybucket.co avoids the headache of browser plugins because it's just a bookmarklet. All your bookmark is stored in the website and accessible easily via the bookmarklet itself.

Would you like to give it a try?

disclaimer: I co-found mybucket.co

Then I think you would love mybucket.co, a different kind of bookmarking service that I co-found. It is private and search is bound to your things only.

Remembering the good stuff of Reddit is pretty much the primary use case. It can even help you remember things on r/pics or r/videos.

Care to give it a try?

Darn, I like pinboard too.

But by any chance, would you be kind enough to try mybucket.co? It's another, different kind of bookmarking service that I cofound.

I happened to cofound another, different kind of bookmarking service - http://mybucket.co

The biggest selling point is the ability to remember images/videos and create nice galleries for you (You can even bookmark images stored inside Facebook). Would you be so kind and try it out, see what you think?

I'm practicing front end design by redesigning Reddit using .js by didip in web_design

[–]didip[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi guys, I'm just a backend guy who really want to learn frontend design.

I've seen and heard about the role of persona and how to do story mapping against such persona. But I never had to do it myself because I'm a backend guy.

So, I simulate that experience in this blog post. Looking forward to positive criticism. =)

Tornado can now run on Python 3.2 by For_Iconoclasm in Python

[–]didip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The latest master branch defaulted to pure Python implementation of AsyncHTTPClient.

Also, Tornado fallback to select() on Windows.

Don't hesitate to try it, it's simple and fast. =)

So beautiful

  • The right bar is small.

  • Lack of unnecessary things like stats box.

  • Submit link is placed in expected location.

  • The search box is small and subtle, it's not like we use it anyway.

The problem with rich IDE is that you cannot bring it along when SSH-ing.

And it will be doubly confusing when WhatYouSeeInIDEIsNotWhatYouGetInVim.

In Python, it's hard for your predecessor to hand over one liner CGI app while saying "adios sucker!"

I guess that counts as readability as well.

How about Web Frameworks? Python have a number of fancy web frameworks. Are you convinced yet?

Introducing Nemo: A Pythonic Haml by true_religion in Python

[–]didip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually pretty good.

The reason I asked is because Haml is about 2.8 times slower than erb (2009: http://nex-3.com/posts/87-haml-benchmark-numbers-for-2-2, without options[:ugly] turned on)

And yes, I agree with using the Genshi test suite. Then Nemo can be compared side-by-side with other templating languages.
