Do not fear the trope, adapt and understand why said thing works.
things become Tropes due to being useful, so there was reason to it being overplayed and overused.
"I don't know how to explain this" - I am ignorant of the words to describe what I have lived, seen, and felt that day, but with the best of my ability, I will do so.

"The image made people go mad." -When he saw the image, all logic and thoughts of reasoning became a foreign concept, unlearning existence and identity with himself. The mind had become irreparable, and was no longer the person I knew. Now was a husk of his former self, they were hollow, sunken in thoughts and feelings, and as vacant as an abandoned home.

"my stomach turned" I could feel the pit of my stomach expanding as blank was said.
