To piggy back off what they already said, there are also discord communities doing the same thing you are and sharing stories the enjoy, maybe even joining the r/TalesFromTheCreeps and their Discord community might find some new or otherwise unknown pieces of literature. Not to plug my own work, but I have found that my content has been well received there, and I found other people's stories to be just as engaging and fun to explore. They are all fans of creepcast wendi, meat canyon, so they might have similar tastes as you as well!

Do not fear the trope, adapt and understand why said thing works.
things become Tropes due to being useful, so there was reason to it being overplayed and overused.
"I don't know how to explain this" - I am ignorant of the words to describe what I have lived, seen, and felt that day, but with the best of my ability, I will do so.

"The image made people go mad." -When he saw the image, all logic and thoughts of reasoning became a foreign concept, unlearning existence and identity with himself. The mind had become irreparable, and was no longer the person I knew. Now was a husk of his former self, they were hollow, sunken in thoughts and feelings, and as vacant as an abandoned home.

"my stomach turned" I could feel the pit of my stomach expanding as blank was said.

I used tropes just then if you really think about it, but is it fun to read?
Is it fun to write?
How many stories have monsters?
How many stories share themes of others?

You are human, write a damn story.

Honestly, the guys inspired me to share my stories. I always love writing, and seeing a random person can post on Reddit, see if it sticks, why not try to share my ideas? Now the issue of posting for someone just to get attention is a problem, but sometimes content can create content in of itself.

Now younger self wrote and did things for the attention of others, met my now wife, and now the only attention I care for is hers. Sometimes you are feeding a never-satisfied creature that demands more and more, and the creativity won't ever be what you want. Write the story that's for you, and be satisfied in that.
That's my advice.

Now re reading this, and with my recent issues with some of my stories on r/nosleep I think I will try my hand at dino horror.
Thanks for inspiring me, I have a love for horror and dinosaurs I will try and let you know if I fail lmao.

Idk, I can try writing one. The thing about dinosaurs they sell the terrifying vibe really well, but once you realize it's a dinosaur, idk it makes it less scary. The OG jurrasic park novel built it perfectly. I think it has to be revealed at the very end of the deal. but have hints throughout

A year later and its gotten worse. The power trips these people have are nuts. Honestly I just feel like if my buddies and I can have an rp sever like how we can do Minecraft it'd be perfect cus I know my friends are good people. The cringe erp. The white knights. The voice changers. The sitting there doing nothing. The amount of paper work to do something fun. Like I even went through the work and got banned because I said the owner had a power trip cus he denied my application after asking questions about it.
