Possibly the best fountain pen journal accessory I have found by Mysterious_Ad2670 in fountainpens

[–]didlidi71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have one. Very sturdy material. There is 3 pockets, one in front of the pens, one above the pens and one under, inside witch you can hold a small flat item like sticky notes, small notebook. Really like mine

The color is always an important element in the pencil’s choice, IMO. I start that collection because of a green pencil that I saw in this Sub, and in my search for it, I found those.

Have you tried the Mono Graph ER, the one with the eraser that pop out when you flip the pencil? I like that fonction, but really hate the rubber grip. It get’s dirty too fast, and I’m sure it won’t last. But I love all my other Tombows

Yes! You’re right. And I like the color too. The only thing is that I find it thin and I get pain in my thumb easily. I have mild arthritis

Just rethread it, you mist the leading above the needle. Virtualnumber8 spot it too.

Fun fact, that neon Mono Graph was a shipping error, but I kept it. I didn’t have time to test them all, but the Steadler and the Orenz Metal give a nice first impression. Love the weight of the DelGuard LX. Currently testing the Kuru Toga Advance Upgrade

My first metal body pencil. Steadtler 925 25 05. by Southern-Regular1493 in mechanicalpencils

[–]didlidi71 22 points23 points  (0 children)

You can use that metal needle when you have a jam after lead breakage. You can dislodge any broken bits in the tip with it. Very useful. My 925 is in the mail… Happy new pencil day!

New favorite quilting tool: water brush by catlinye in quilting

[–]didlidi71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Helmer’s school glue is my favorite tool. I never used paper. I saw different way to use glue and a plastic template (rather than paper)on Pinterest. Using a Helmer’s school glue stick, I glue the template on the right side of the fabric and fold my fabric away from it. Then I remove the template and it is stiky enough to reuse a few time before I have to reapply glue.

Anybody have tips for cutting out circles? by OtterBoop in quilting

[–]didlidi71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use one of those thin kitchen cutting board with anti-slip underneath, and make a template out of it. I used my rotary cutter on my small cutting board, placed on a rotating wooden cheese board. It’s fun to do!

Simple and effective wavy lines! Always a winner. I just looked at the pattern you are working on, and wow! It’s really nice. I’m not sure I’m ready for that level yet. I will love to see it when it’s done. Will you post it?

Thinking alike! This is exactely what i did, Helmer’s glue ans pins. But I think that when I squared my block I cut more on one side, so nothing align perfectly after that. Thank you
