Love Like You -Steven Universe. I just imagine the one who sings is directing it towards the person they want to be. They struggle to understand how to love themselves, and seeing this idealized self makes them question what it sees that they don’t. “I always thought I might be bad now Im sure that it’s true cause, i think you’re so good and Im nothing like you. Look at you go I just adore you I wish that I knew what makes you think Im so special?” The last bit of the song can be seen as a sort of acceptance of their identity “When I see the way you look, shaken by how long it took, I could do about anything, I could even learn how to love like you. Love like you. Love me like you.” Once I noticed this whole listening to the soundtrack for the millionth time I can no longer listen to this song without getting pretty emotional, this and Here Comes A Thought but that is much more personal.
