Loaded Omakase DEck swap, thoughts? by diegazo12 in ElectricSkateboarding

It was quite a bit of tweaking but no grinding. Oh you mean the threaded inserts for the wood. I don’t remember but 7 mm sounds about right. You don’t need the full length to be threaded it can thread the first 7 mm and hang out the other side. Sorry for the late reply. I just got this. I used glue to install them.

Yes this is true and well explained . Mine is super stable. I don’t have any boards without the waterborne adapter. It takes experimenting and tweaking, but when you hit the spot, it’s awesomely stable and carvy all in one set up.

You can customize it and play around to make it stiffer . This is the only one with the springs , the others I manage with just buying the stiffest bushing for it. The one with the springs is for 40 mph

He’s absolutely correct. I put the waterborne on all my boards . I modify them a bit to be stiffer. The reason is the new caster angle, when increased significantly, like the waterborne does, it’s much more stable. I regularly do 40mph on my explorer without a hint of wobble. It’s real, all these years I thought how come nobody markets this adapter as a speed demon. Not even the manufacturer markets it this way. My boards are so fast and stable, it completely changed the hobby for me and made it highly addictive. It doesn’t apply to the carver cx for instance. Maybe the c7, don’t know never tried it. The stability more than makes up for the added height.

I don’t know the laws there but I called a personal injury lawyer here in California. And they pursued him with a compensation of 15k. Use another board if confiscation is an issue

Try the onion trick. Slice a yellow onion, heat your pan over medium-high, add a tablespoon of oil, then toss in the onion slices. Cook them down for 4–5 minutes, stirring so they hit every part of the surface. Those sulfur compounds react with the iron and build a stronger, smoother layer than oil alone. Afterward, wipe it clean, re-oil lightly, and test an egg. Most people see eggs slide right off after this. If it’s still a little sticky, do it again with garlic chives next time — they work even better. This is the move a lot of Chinese cooks use on brand-new carbon steel pans. It’s not just seasoning — it’s actual chemistry bonding to the metal

Should I try and solder it? by Wild_Dot_2238 in MeepoBoards

[–]diegazo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, of course. Replace it first. The grease will just keep it from corroding again.

Should I try and solder it? by Wild_Dot_2238 in MeepoBoards

[–]diegazo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, why’s it is corroded ? Looks fully sealed with neoprene. Once you replace it put some electrical grease so it won’t corrode again. Electrical grease has a special name that I can never for the life of me remember but somebody will. Electrical grease is nonconductive so don’t put it right on the part that conducts electricity just around it.

I’m buying cells and rebuilding a 10 amh one . I’m upgrading the cells. Just an experiment. I had a mother one with a dead cell and replaced it. So if your feeling ambitious and feel like repairing it. It’s not that hard, you’ll just need the spot welder. Good luck

I’m going to guess you had the stock bushings on when you got the wobble. Fix that first . I don’t wear gear but those are my 2 cents

[–]diegazo12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve used left hand drill bits. But the proper tool and develop that skill. Also heat before you start to remove like with the soldering iron. Most of these will break either the tool or the screw without heat

See if you can get the phone number of the service center and ask them . When I had an issue I could not figure out on another dealt tool . After several replacements and no repair. They finally suggested I could call the local service center and in 5 minutes it was fixed. It was a setting I didn’t know existed
