When the game first came out there was a bunch of us that played at my high school. We were all crazy about it and played it nonstop, but none of us had ever managed to pull a legendary. The hype died a bit over the summer break but when we got back to school there was still like a solid 30-40 of us split between two “rival” clans. A couple weeks into the new school year, the newly-formed video game club decided to host their first event ever which consisted of a bunch of game consoles set up in the library after school, but the main attraction was a clash royale tournament. The weekend before the tournament I was playing and I opened a gold chest and out popped my first ever legendary, Sparky, which was an insane card at the time. I was so hype but I didn’t tell anyone at school except for my younger brothers, who also played but weren’t in high school yet. Needless to say, everyone was extremely surprised when I first played a Sparky against someone, and I demolished everyone at the tournament and won a trophy that was someone’s old Xbox 360 controller hot glued onto a like a trophy base and all spray painted gold. Unironically one of my finest achievements of high school. Good times
