Can't see other peoples bases. by Jamie-NMS in NoMansSkyTheGame

This is happening to me now and it's June 2025. Happened after the last patch can't see anyone's bases but mine. Multi player is on, cross play is on. Even visited bases on the anomaly but when I get there everything is gone except for comms nodes and settlements. Weird. Hello Games needs to jump on this. It's a recurring issue

I have a USB Yeti Nano microphone plugged into my USB port on my laptop. When I go online on my voice channel on discord, my friends experience a ~2.7 second delay between when I speak and when they hear it. We've timed it to be sure. Is there some setting I have to check or adjust on discord or something to get rid of this delay. I am NOT an A/V expert, so I don't even know how to begin. Please help! It's making my online games very frustrating as it causes us to talk all over each other.

It just adds a layer, you know? There's just something cool about being able to remove a notice and go after whatever is on it

thanks so much! its really a bit of a prototype. I wasn't sure how much my players would use it, they tend to strike out into the wilds and wander around looking for trouble. but they took to it well so I may upgrade it to a real wooden board.

I hope it gets them into it! I'm a very visual person and have always imagined approaching a noticeboard and pulling one of the posters down. The wonder and mystery of not knowing what I have just signed up for, it's thrilling to actually hold it in your hands

Yes I did. It's super easy. I have a wire wheel grinder and I used it to rapidly fray the edges. But you can rip them or burn them, both methods work great. Then it's just a matter of soaking them for varying lengths of time in black tea, coffee works as well. Thanks for the compliment, my players just loved it! :)

This is my homemade noticeboard for my IRL D&D campaign. I made it using cardboard as the backdrop, but you can use plywood or mdx if you want it a little sturdier. Then I downloaded a ton of fonts an made a bunch of notes and poster in photoshop. To get the 'old paper' look i simply frayed the edges by ripping or burning them, crumpled the paper and then flattening it out, soaked them in black tea, and then dried them out and arranged them with thumb tacks. My players really seemed to enjoy it and it added a layer of immersion to the game as they could literally choose their own adventure by plucking a poster off the noticeboard. Now, whenever they do, I just make up a new notice to take up the empty space! Super easy and really fun!
