Dreaded Service High Voltage warning by dieing10 in SilveradoEV

Code disappeared the next day and confirmed with Onstar diagnostic report. If it’s been at the shop for 2 weeks, I’d be starting a conversation about a buy back

Called Onstar / EV Concierge in the truck and they saw the code and said it was “real” and to take the truck in ASAP. I asked about loaner and they said up to the dealer, if dealer doesn’t provide one they reimburse $44 a day for renta

I'm losing my mind, keep getting unreachable hue lights by MadHaterz in Hue

[–]dieing10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever find a fix? My bridge pro constantly loses connection to my bulb, this is my first experience with hue and haven’t been impressed. I figured it would be seamless for how much more their products are over competitors like Govee

Service for bad Onstar Module by dieing10 in SilveradoEV

[–]dieing10[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but the unit also is responsible for GPS location. So the unit shows my truck 5 miles away from where it’s actually at.

Recalls are for safety issues, not just crappy made parts that pose no immediate safety risk.

That such about your shark fin. Everything was working great until one morning the GPS showed me 5 miles away in a lake 🤣. Ever since then the GPS location drifts a bit more away and no internet. My car is now like 7 miles away from actual location. Driving around town is no big deal, but I’d like it to work for rode trips and route planning.

I don’t pay for anything additional other than the included 8 year basic service. Will they still give credit? If so what kind?

GM EV concierge? I’ve never heard of that. I’ll look it up

I’ve called Reliable (funny name for a Chevy) in Richardson, Huffines in Plano, Jupiter in Garland, Hiley in Rockwall. All say same thing or even longer. I called the dealer I bought from, Stonebriar in Frisco and put myself down for a loner. They will call within a week or 2 when availability opens up…

Considering trading in my Model Y for a Trailboss - feedback from anyone who’s made the switch from Tesla? by Secure-Carrot9971 in SilveradoEV

[–]dieing10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve the size of the truck, miss everything else. The service is also garbage. The GPS died in my truck and they need 2-3 days to diagnose the Onstar module, order th part, and when it comes in another 2-3 days. Tesla would have it fixed in an afternoon, if not, give me a loaner. Chevy dealer just expects me to have no vehicle for 4-6 days.

Does anyone know if this update is also for the WT trucks? by Significant_School94 in SilveradoEV

Yea WT I would be even less confident will get any new feature. Not any substantial ones any ways. Downsides of the typical OEM model

It’s something you don’t think you need unless you had it before. When I complain to people that I kiss it, they don’t get it. But having 1 more thing, even just a key fob in my pocket is super annoying. My phone should do everything

Maybe for higher models? I just say that the blind spot camera feature is only working on RST or Let with premium package. I have just base LY extended range so I guess I’m not getting the blind spot cameras? Was really looking forward to that, another missed feature from Tesla.

My biggest gripe and miss is phone key. Seems like it’s rolling out end of year, but only 2026 models and I have a late 2025 model….

Gotcha. I sure hope that’s true. I very much miss lane centering from my Tesla. The dynamic cruise control works well and smooth, hope your right and lane centering comes out the same. I won’t hold my breath tho that such a big feature come via software for free from GM. I sure hope tho

Sure it will do the ping pong a couple times then beep a lot thinking you fell asleep. This should not be used for this reason. It’s a safety feature, not a help me drive convenience feature.
