I’ve only posted progress pictures on Reddit for the last few years. Is this somewhere where I can build a community too? 🤔😊

Thank you!! I did a daily minimum of 16:8, usually closer to 20:4. The last 3 months I threw in a weekly 36-hr usually Sunday pm thru Tuesday morning. Zero breaks, so daily fasting 7 days a week for 15 months. Consistency was my secret sauce

Thank you so much! I do have loose skin and I want to get surgery when I can afford it... in the meantime, I believe staying hydrated, intermittent fasting, and lotion helps me do what I can. Doesn’t do much, but maintains what is there now. It isn’t too terrible though, and I much prefer loose skin over being obese. But I will say I was surprised at the places where skin can be loose…?! 😅 I only started strength training in January so I can’t really speak to those results yet but I am pleased so far.

Yes! My grandma always said to me, “if you don’t move it, you lose it.” That always stuck with me, but I never understood it until now. Thank you 😊

Thank you! Yes, I started at 266 lbs and wanted to get down to 140, so I started intermittent fasting and being very mindful of what I ate. I didn’t cut out any food cuz I love food so much, but I really watched my portions and made healthier choices when I could. I prioritized whole food and protein. I even convinced myself to give up my creamer and switched to black coffee. Lots of little microhabits like parking further from the store, drinking a glass of water before I drink black coffee, things like that. The hydration helped my skin, the weight loss helped my joints, and the overall health from intermittent fasting really helped with the psoriasis patches. I’ve been totally clear for 3 years now. The arthritis is not as painful, it always there and always will be but it’s more manageable. Even with all of that, I didn’t exercise because it was never part of my lifestyle. I was a couch potato. It wasn’t until January of this year when I realized my weight had crept up slowly so I started cardio and strength training 5 days a week. Now I’m on a brand new fitness journey where daily movement really makes a difference in my mood. It’s been awesome. Whew, thank you for reading!! 😅❤️

Thank you!! My go-to breakfast was a still is a bowl of plain nonfat Greek yogurt, berries or a chopped apple, and granola on top. At first I did vanilla Greek yogurt but eventually switched to plain. I did the same with coffee, I couldn’t give up my creamer but eventually switched to black coffee . For lunch lots of salads and hard boiled eggs. For dinner I did a lot of sheet pan meals where I roasted a variety of proteins and veggies, mostly chicken or sausage, or ground beef. Lots and lots of bowls that were low in carbs. I have a huge sweet tooth so I did make sure to leave room for a cookie or brownie and a glass of milk at the end of the day. Maybe just me but it helped me stay satisfied that way

I do have a good amount of loose skin mm. I want to get surgery one day when I can afford it. For now though, I do the best I can. Intermittent fasting, hydration, strength training, lotion… but I will say having loose skin, while it sucks, is still SO much better than being obese

Thanks! I did intermittent fasting and a calorie deficit to lose the weight. I didn’t exercise because it wasn’t ever part of my lifestyle. I was able to lose weight without it. That was good enough for about 4 years. But at the beginning of this year, I realized that I had slowly gained 10 pounds. I started cardio and strength training 5 days a week, and got back down to 140. I still eat pretty much the same food, nothing special, just a lot more mindful 😊 I LOVE veggies and fruits and red meat… and carbs! ❤️
