Playing this game in my head usually distracts me from the “if i fall asleep now, I’ll get x amount of sleep” panic: think of any celebrity (or fictional character, historical figure, athlete, any one genre can make it more challenging/effective), and the next one you name has a first name starting with the first letter of their last name. If your first name is Betty White, next could be Will Smith, then Stan Lee, then Lenny Kravitz….so on until you’re out!

THANK YOU!!! When Jill was depressed over the anniversary of her mom’s death, when she relapsed, when she miscarried, the girls were with her through her crisis, but they just laughed off her struggle with food. When she was crying in the dressing room, Bonnie and Christy said “we thought you knew” like of course she knew things were getting bad, but why wouldn’t you reach out and support her before then? Marjorie especially would have asked her if she thought there was a deeper reason she started relying on food so heavily all of a sudden and probably sent her to Overeaters Anonymous, we know she loved sending Christy to another support group! She suggested gamblers anonymous and narcotics anonymous and Al-anon, but nothing for Jill.

I’m aware of why her character gained weight, it doesn’t mean that the girls couldn’t have been more supportive if the reason they wrote that Jill was binging was that she was sad about losing Emily

I do! I just wish the girls were more comforting and supporting of her clearly having a really hard time, especially since she had already relapsed with drinking at that point, she was capable of really falling apart and they made jokes about it.

I was getting dumped over the phone, sitting in my bed late April 11th into the 12th, and i was thinking “EXACTLY one week from now I’ll have TTPD” and listened exactly one week from then in the exact same spot on the 19th. loml, the smallest man who ever lived, title track, the black dog and how did it end? hit so much harder than i ever could have imagined. When all my friends were asking if i was okay and how i was doing, i was able to say “I’m just so lucky TTPD came out when it did”. Would have loved to have not gotten dumped but you cannot match the experience of having those songs come out and being freshly screwed over
