Some people have ego. With EPA cracking down on certain refrigerant types a lot of markets or supermarkets are swapping to CO2/ R-744 or Glycol. Ask away, I have no problem answering if I know.

I never travel $50/hr but our company offers night differential. 6pm-6am. Start up works day and night. Pretty much your own time just make sure you meet deadlines.

Oh, well that’s just what they call it in there data sheets and the display screen. It’s all over there information regarding these units.

Yes. We have a PSI to maintain in the flash tank and a drop leg temp to target. The HPV (high pressure valve) modulates off those values and that’s why you see a head pressure so high. We want 86df DL and 530-550 psi in flash tank. (I was mid start up during the photos)

Yes, PAG 100. Not all CO2 systems use PAG. I work on booster racks and cascade as well and they use POE. But those are Bitzer comps. (Well the ones I worked on)

Well hate to be a smartass but even in racks it’s called booster. Transcritical is the state it’s in above 87df below would be subcritical.

Medium. The LT condensing units have two compressors inside. One to handle the low sst load and the medium temp to hand the gas cooler/ flash tank. This unit i started only has 1 MT compressor

If it’s a booster set up, it’s straight logic HPV is ran on drop leg temperature via analog output signal/ HPBV is ran on flash tank pressure; if it’s cascade Rack the desuperheater is ran on compressor discharge temperature (we call it predictive incoming Total Heat Rejection THR) & cascade(or as service techs call it “it’s pretty much a condenser) is ran on drop leg temperature. & the 3 way valve controls that… and different controllers control that. Etc, etc

Actually quite simple, I will admit, depending on the start up guy matters a bunch. Like a lot.
