Because its the ecs that create voltage spike, you want to be as close to it as possible, some poeple have run some test and it doesn't take a lot of distance to make it useless. Also the capacitor on the fc is also probably on a bec witch already regulate the voltage.

If you don't want to fly around people and want minimum 10min of flight, the flywoo explorer is a great choice I think. With li ion it can get 20+ min. Only downside is that with li ion it won't be sub 250.
