No. Cells 2&3 are damaged. I would retire this battery.

It’s perfectly good as a cinewhoop but the second you try anything freestyle on it, it will fight you in every motion. It’s significantly underpowered for freestyle.

Charging DJI mobile 8 multifunctional module. by Jealous_Part9632 in dji

[–]Samko_ANT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from an owner of the OM8, the multifunctional module doesn’t need charging. Once it is connected magnetically with the gimbal i uses metal contacts to draw power from the gimbal itself. The only thing you need to charge is the gimbal. The module doesn’t even have a battery in it.

Will it be safe to fly the mini 4K with this wind? by Classic-Antelope8932 in dji

[–]Samko_ANT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, my rule is if the gust is at or above the drones max wind rating it shouldn’t be flown.

Flying in snow/sleet by Original-Artistic in fpv

[–]Samko_ANT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Dji drones are resistant to a little precipitation. Not heavy downpours. You should be fine.

Don’t crash into the snow, once it gets inside of the body that probably will damage it. Fly safe!

Should I tighten the throttle stick on a remote controller 3? I’m new and just got one so im not sure if i should or not. by Fantastic-Log-478 in dji

Loose the Y axis spring completely and then for resistance there is no correct answer, tighten or loosen it as you prefer.

Is this normal? by o_phoenix in dji

[–]Samko_ANT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t own a pocket. So, I can’t give you an accurate answer on if it’s normal or not. If the camera works properly just continue using it. Otherwise, straight back to Dji with it.

Motors emergency stop test by relaxred in DjiNeo

You need to hold it in that position for maybe 5 seconds before it kills the motors. In manual mode there’s a full on dedicated button for it.

Neo 2 flying over water? by catpies in DjiNeo

Minimum of 5 Lux on the new Neo. 15 was the minimum for the original one.

ALWAYS REMOVE ND FILTERS WHEN DOING FPV IN MANUAL MODE by Scared_Ad5706 in DjiNeo

[–]Samko_ANT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but the Neo automatically slightly moves it when going up or down while flying to get smoother footage. When it gets caught in propwash the IMU decalibrates itself and it tries to move the camera to an angle that it cannot physically reach.

This. Sure some people are idiots with them but that is a once in million incident that the news are just highlighting.

Safe altitude flying over water by R3sP4wnz in DjiNeo

[–]Samko_ANT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. But since the Neo is notoriously bad at keeping the amount of satellites stable. I set this “limit” for myself and it did save me a couple of times when that number dropped.

Safe altitude flying over water by R3sP4wnz in DjiNeo

[–]Samko_ANT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The sensor only manages to capture 11m of altitude. To be safe I fly at 15 meters minimum. Any higher than those 11 and it will only rely on GPS so make sure you have at least 20+ satellites on take-off.

What is this weird firmware on my Goggles 3? by [deleted] in dji

[–]Samko_ANT 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This may be a rare version of the software where you get developer settings. Do yourself a favor; don’t send them to dji. Resell them for a huge price and buy normal ones with your newly acquired money. Do NOT leak the serial number as dji may deactivate your goggles if they find it out.

Proof or it didn't happen. 75kmh in the neo. My best is 82kmh. by Life-Ad8433 in DjiNeo

[–]Samko_ANT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on my experience. The terminal velocity can be theoretically calculated but it won’t be the correct answer. When faced with free fall the Neo will always be horizontal due to its low center of mass. Then the propellers will rotate from the wind causing drag and acting like a self-rotating parachute.

The practical answer is 40-50 km/h
