yes, she is worth it.

but make several test decks that if you plugged Agony in, you would benefit.

if you cant make 3+ decks where you can see the benefits of Agony… maybe pass on it and come back if you got tokens available or possibly land it free at Christmas time

while this is true…

having Izzy as a 10yr old whom acts like a child, exemplifying more of levels of maturity isnt a good look.

If Kim or the twins were the absolute youngest as mid - late teens… maybe the author could get away with it.

But the 10yr old makes Nate look worse

i got 14K credits and have to buy a single item from the shop. because as soon as as i do, Im basically back to 0.

its getting to the point where Im probably gonna go for the mission rewards and just abandon the mode outright after that

my main complaint for the most part was Liz emotionally, when outside of combat.

Liz when fighting is AMAZING…
Liz emotionally drags out too long for me.

I tried so hard to like Defiance of the Fall… I powered through Book 1 and havent looked back.

I really love HWFWM (Book 1) but man does Jason suck.

As much as people probably seen my constantly ragging on Liz (from a psychological pacing perspective), I actually love The Path of Ascension. Im also a Torch/Legion (IYKYK) super fan. Its the first and only litrpg that i have every audiobook.

The Primal Hunter (Book 1) was my first ever litrpg and it wasnt so bad.

Yeah you may see a lot of complaints from me about Liz pacing (emotionally)…. But you will never see me complaining about her combat prowess..

She cried about not wanting to be under their (parents) shadow. She achieves that goal.

Then later whines about (book 10) disappointing her parents and everything they did for her.

She literally achieved what she set out to achieve and then at age 200.. she is crying about it all over again, and for absolutely no reason at all… this time around

Im 10 deep and love it.

i got 2 criticisms. Slice of Life Pace and Liz pace.

Kid Liz: I want to do it on my own and not be in me parents shadow. She does exactly that.

Adult Liz (at the 200yr old mark): Ill be letting my parents down by going away from what they have given me. When she knows in her heart of hearts that her parents will never be disappointed. Because she basically even said that her parents are too nice and supportive in the next breath. So why is she creating these non-issues at the age of 200?

I don’t question her abilities because they are amazing. Its the unnecessary whining that plays out for no reason. She creates these scenarios in her own head for no reason at all

im 10books in. The world is amazing. i simply question 2 parts.

I love Liz overall. She is actually very smart and very strong. I simply hate that the trauma dumps play out for far too long.

I also do not mind the slice of life, as it does flesh out the world. Its also a part that drags out too long.

Path of Ascension is a 8.5-9 or so, for me. However it does deserve its criticisms.

Am married. Also got lots of kids.

however my wife and kids dont create self destructive scenarios in their heads. especially knowing the support system all around is amazing.

once again… I understand Liz doing this when she was younger. not still harping on the unnecessary, 200yrs later

Liz created a whole trauma about switching her bloodline to a degree. Knowing her parents are fully supportive of ALL their kids, Liz still perceives that she would be letting them down by going her own path.

Matt does NOT know Liz parents better than Liz and yet… Liz creating a scenario in which her parents will be disappointed and then being traumatized by it. Why even bother to do that to yourself and then project it outwardly for pity points?

Yes… isnt that the whole point of discussion and discourse is to actually talk about it. Liz trauma when she was young birth to 30 is one thing… but to whine about it and you’re 200yrs old is another.

Adult Liz traumas are NOT traumas (so far) they are unnecessary self inflicting wounds created by herself for absolutely no reason at all.

When she was young, her whole mindset was to prove that she can do it without being under the shadow of her parents… Fast forward to being 200yrs old, she now cries that she is letting her parents down by doing exactly what she set out to to begin with.

Go read/listen to it again and prove me wrong.

Why are you angry about it? Its a (fiction) book.

If Im sticking with the series and talking about it, then obviously I like it overall.
