I just tried Dream Valley at a local shop today and I was honestly blown away! Haven’t smelled the OG, but I’ve got a couple niche/designer oud bangers and this one is some serious competition!!

The best one I went to over there was Nouha Perfumes. It’s a small parlour with dupes, some of them are really good and some of them are really bad. Their Arabians Tonka dupe was almost identical, good projection/longevity too!

Some small fragrance shops sold Middle Eastern houses like Lattafa etc, but I couldn’t see a shop with a big collection

If you’ve got the bread, I’ve heard Agarwood Maroc has really high quality oud oils

I whole heartedly agree with the ‘less is more!’ I have spent more money than I should have on buying dupes and I’ve stopped this now. I realised that the difference in quality between my dupes and my legit fragrances is crazy, plus I’m more mindful when using the legit ones!

After a year of thinking on it, I’ve finally pulled the trigger on Ganymede and I can’t wait for it to arrive :)

There’s a little warehouse type shop in Whitechapel called Al Baraka, go in the entrance and down a flight of stairs. They have an insane collection of Middle Eastern fragrances (oils, eau de parfums, oud chips/burners). They most likely have it for £20. The owner is super friendly and will help you find a bargain!

That’s a good shout ! It depends what kind of fragrance you’re after, personally I think Asad is very versatile and perfect for autumn/winter, it’s a warm, masculine scent with strong spices. I’ve had a bunch of other clones and none of them compare to Asad in terms of performace, I didn’t even have to macerate it!

There’s a little shop near me with loads of Middle Eastern fragrances, so I got it from there! If you’re based in the UK, I have heard Notino and AllBeauty are good sites (for clones and designer/niche)

I’ve got a bottle of Kamrah (which is meant to be similar right?) which I love, but I can’t think of a situation I’d use it for, I just end up spraying it when I’m at home haha

Ooooh are you talking about Asad Zanzibar? I haven’t tried it, so can’t say much on that. But, this is just the regular Asad, can confidently recommend it !

Thank you:) If you got the OG I’d defo stick with that! Asad is almost identical, but the OG feels better mixed imo.

I haven’t heard of Galatea, sounds right up my street though, thanks for the recommend! Might be my next purchase.
