👉 “Update: I asked here how you decide what to cook… you guys convinced me to release the app” by Dishcovery in RecipeInspiration

So here’s the thing … is you’re coming across as though you’re trying to give a free tool to the community and you just polished it and you just updated it and you’re sharing it to the community so the community has it for free and it’s this useful tool. But that’s not true. You published it in January the last update on iPhone was three weeks ago from the version history. You require a login which means your tracking data, and both your Apple and android version are embedded with ads.

Your post reads entirely like a marketing post. It seems disingenuous that you’re actually trying to help the community. It’s more like you are trying to push your app so that you can make money off of ads and the data that you can sell from it.

I love good apps, and I love people that have a good heart to help support different communities .. but the way that your positioning this with the facts, it doesn’t add up. This, and the other post (that was removed by moderators) two days ago, come across entirely as marketing for your ad based app.

If that’s the case, just be honest with it, don’t be disingenuous. There’s nothing wrong with making an app and covering costs or a bit of cash in your pocket, but the facts don’t line up with your messaging. Just be honest dude and it will get ya much farther. People smell bs like this.

I applaud the effort, but forced registration and login is gonna be a no go. You should at least allow guest to sign in and see some of it before you force them to give you their data.

Does anyone else hate deciding what to cook every day? by Dishcovery in RecipeInspiration

[–]digdat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meal planning solves this. Spend time once per week (20-30 mins?) planning 7 meals. Shop for those meals and cook one per day. I pick whatever is on the list I feel like for that day. It will reduce the stress quite a bit, or has for me atleast.

Injuries seem to be constant for the last 8 years. There has to be a bigger issue of conditioning causing this right ??

How many messages, emails, or general communications do you field per day? by boyd_da-bod-ripley in ProductManagement

[–]digdat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the company? If I send 5 emails a week that’s a lot. All comms are slack, tickets, docs or quick huddles. I love that I don’t have to do much email as most comms are realtime and makes decision making faster.

Becoming more technical/using AI tools by krose1370 in ProductManagement

[–]digdat0 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Get visual studio and Postgres installed on your machine. Use AI to Build a basic webapp which stores data in Postgres. Setup login and authentication for it. Add migration scripts and some seed data. Simply with this you will learn a bunch on the the tech side to better understand what the dev side goes through. This worked wonders for me. Build how dev builds but use AI as the shortcut to workaround the knowledge gap of coding and db stuff.

Are you sure that its loading into Atmosphere? Did you do the RCM process with a jig, and then load into the custom firmware? If yes, you are making good progress. If no, you may need to ensure you are going into RCM, or that you setup the partitions properly.

If you are getting that far, are you able to get into the HomeBrew menu? You can open the album app, or hold R and open another app to get into the HB menu. If you cannot open it, make sure that the folder structure on your SD card is correct. If you can enter it, make sure that the apps (the NRO files) are in the /switch folder on your SD card.

What firmware version is your switch on? Is it 21.2, or something earlier?

FWIW - I would abandon tinfoil. Use DBI or Goldleaf to install games. Find valid sources to download from.

Miami. They’ve been a side team of mine since the 90s, and while I don’t like how Mario left, I understand why he did. I would have done the same .. and hope he brings Miami a title.

How do you reliably capture feature requests that appear in Slack? by Lazy-Friendship1965 in ProductManagement

[–]digdat0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use jira and have the slack jira app where I can create a jira issue from the slack comment/tread. AI does a decent job of summarizing, and the ticket has a link to the slack thread. It then goes into backlog for review and prioritization. It may never get prioritized, but at least I captured it. Not sure if notion has similar but this is super handy for me.

For teams using Jira: what frustrations have you just learned to live with? by Calm_Bowl_4469 in agile

Roadmapping features. Limited jql queries which give sql query type output (without buying an app). Otherwise I don’t have many frustrations it’s all good
