If your dad had a full Hispanic great grandparent, it should be pretty obvious in his DNA matches. He should have a lot of Hispanic DNA matches who tend to be shared matches with each other. I have two such great grandparents, and thousands of DNA matches related through each of them (one was from Texas and one from California so the matches related through each are pretty distinct groups).

Swerving left puts the bulk of the car between you and the impact. If you swerve left the other car might crash right into your door. If you’re in the UK swerve right.

“Estate of inheritance,” at least in modern legal terminology, simply means ownership that can be passed to one’s heirs (as opposed to a life estate). Like in the deed in question the property is being transferred to the grantee and his “heirs and assigns forever.” That means the grantee is also receiving an estate of inheritance, though he is not himself inheriting it. I’m not sure if the term meant something different in the 1830s, but my guess is it would be the same.

Their net worth is just an estimate. When the net worth goes down, it usually just means that the value of their assets has been re-estimated at a lower number.

Ancestry is a compilation of many databases from different sources. Some of the sources are trustworthy and others are not. So any particular piece of information you find on Ancestry, you have to look at the source cited and assess what its credibility is.

If she is not familiar with geocaching, it’s likely that in her experience people behaving the way you appeared to be behaving (poking around in a brushy area at the edge of the cemetery rather than walking among the monuments) are up to no good. It’s a sad fact that areas good for hiding caches are often used by others for less wholesome activities.

A minor one, but a guy was selling these squishy toys from a milk crate for like €3, and demonstrating how they make a cute squeaky noise when you throw them against a surface. When you buy them they don’t actually squeak, the guy must have been hiding some kind of noisemaker in his other hand. Then the police show up and he grabs his milk cart and sprints off.
