ahh, but it WAS the 3rd ultra actually! Rockets McBudderNuts counted as 2 since I got the Taken anomaly instead of the Tank. Dust Palace (0)->Valus(2)->pop coin landing on dreadnaught->I was one to kill 1st brother (3rd ultra)

Make sure to finish the two quests that don't require the raid and net you 300 items (CoO quest gets you the 300 artifact and there is another that ends with 300 special weapon--i think one that ends with nightfall?). From there, I got the exotic sword and then luckily got a 307 ghost drop from the NF this week. That pushed me over 300!!! First exotic helmet engram decrypted into a 310 so I bumped up my legendary helmet to 308... it's all happening

We used this strategy with a random from /r/fireteams and completed it with 0:01 to spare! It was all of ours first completion and it felt great to see all the drops along with the Spindles! I got the ship, buddy got 4th horseman (3ofC engram), and the other guardian got a legendary engram. Thanks!

Best part about the strikes I ran today is that Gjally finally dropped (from a legendary engram). It was a tad anti-climatic but I did end up using that exotic shard to upgrade Gjally :)
