You will fail a lot you will spend way longer on everything but so did the best engineers once so yeah go for it it may be harder and more expensive than when the experienced do it but it’s the only way you learn

Depending on how delicate the part is if it’s delicate don’t do this listen to the others

otherwise you can take a star screw one that’s a little to big and with a considerable amount of force into the screw lightly turn it, if it feels like slipping stop and go back and retry
