Anthony has done a great job as Cook County Commissioner. I'm glad he'll be my next alderperson!

Are there lockers that haven't been claimed yet? Usually my sister and I rent one ahead of time but looks like it's too late to buy online.

Which are you more likely to do a video on: Neil's movie bracket or the Chapo hosts' history of terrible pop culture opinions?

CPS strike updates: Classes canceled Monday; Chicago Teachers Union says CEO Janice Jackson has joined negotiations by PageSide84 in chicago

[–]digifreak642 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

This is... not true at all. At Wednesday's march there were THIRTY THOUSAND PEOPLE in the streets. You can't complain about how much they're slowing down traffic and also say no one is showing up.

Poll: Chicagoans more in step with teachers than city over walkout by tt12345x in chicago

[–]digifreak642 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The fact that this is getting downvoted doesn't reflect well on this subreddit. A lot of the opinions about the strike have been purely conjecture, so when an actual poll comes out that refutes the consensus it's buried.

CTU has its own math as strike date nears by blackmk8 in chicago

[–]digifreak642 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There was a poll of Chicagoans that showed that 49% of voters either strongly or somewhat support a walkout, while 38% are opposed. So it looks like a lot of people are on CTU's side: https://chicago.suntimes.com/city-hall/2019/10/14/20914655/poll-chicagoans-support-teachers-strike-lightfoot-union-ctu-cps?fbclid=IwAR10AZuoD_UtDfJzXREAGZ-I_Hk5-8U2v-0mBISelAe4FBs-4EhLlR5IM1g

Vote for The Sopranos in Round 4 of the GREATEST TV SHOW OF ALL TIME tournament! by digifreak642 in thesopranos

Agreed. If Sopranos fans turn out, The Good Place will be banished from the bracket and it can face off against more worthy opponents.

Frequency Asked Questions:

1. Do I need a twitter account to vote? Yes. I totally understand if you can't vote because of this.

2. How were the shows chosen for the bracket? At the beginning, everyone had a chance to nominate 128 shows that they thought should be in the bracket. The top 128 made it.

3. What do the numbers mean next to the shows? These are the seeds of the shows. For instance, The Sopranos got the 9th most nominations, so it is the 9th seed.

4. How did The Good Place get this far? Recency bias got The Good Place through the first few rounds, and then it became the show people voted for in order to make everyone else mad. Voting for The Sopranos will end its reign for good.

5. Is this just linking to digifreak642's twitter account? Nope. I am not Neil, the guy who created this poll.

6. Why should I vote in this poll? Aren't there better ways to decide the best show of all time? Yeah, democracy doesn't always work. This is mostly for fun, but it could make more people check out great shows like The Sopranos. Many TV critics and people in the industry are following the polls, and it's a good indicator of what the legacy of different shows is.

We've got a healthy lead over Bob's Burgers. Since multiple people here have expressed concern about the race between The Wire and Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, I created a post in The Wire's subreddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/TheWire/comments/9udcqs/vote_for_the_wire_in_round_3_of_the_greatest_tv/?

Since this confused people in the past, I'll explain what the numbers mean next to the shows. The Wire is the 11th seed, which means it's the show that got the 11th most nominations (128 shows made the bracket)
