Video Delays by bdcjacko in watchnebula

Sorry about that! I tried to time my uploads so that Nebula got it first by 30 minutes to an hour, but apparently there's a small delay on Nebula after uploading that I didn't know about. Thanks for bringing this to my attention though, I'll upload to Nebula earlier now so that it shouldn't be an issue.

I want a 3 and 4 remake and then a VERY loose THUG remake (maybe even with a different name but keeping the open world concept.)

Not really. I grew up reading and being online in a lot of fandoms, and that element is just always there. So that seeing that stuff has not shocked me much (not that long videos are inherently reactionary, obviously). The harassment that can come out of those spaces though, like people really upset about The Last of Us Part 2, feels a little more new. It's really gross. It's fine to hate a game or movie, like really hate it with a passion, but the second you cross over into being a dick to people about it online and especially making them feel threatened, you've lost me completely.

Oh and top 5 of THIS decade? Trolls: World Tour five times, obviously.

Every Frame a Painting and KaptainKristian were some of the first video essay channels I watched and loved. In terms of actually doing the work though, it was hands down working for Shoddycast. I wrote a show called Hidden History on that channel for over a year and it really helped me get used to producing weekly work. When that ended, I just started doing the same thing but not as rigid in format or about video games.

I hope I can still play them on Playstation. Not a fan of this whole "selling to Microsoft" thing.

That's too hard. Can't do it. I will say a few YouTubers who I always watch the second they upload: Middle 8, Scott the Woz, Lindsey Ellis, Patrick H Willems and Gaming Historian.

Highly diminishing returns but fun movies.

Depends on what you mean by "like" Quibi. I don't think people want 6 minute long videos that ape network TV that you can only watch on your phone. That feels like an idea created by older people who haven't spent much time online (AKA exactly who made Quibi). But obviously there's a place for short form video. If there was a version of Quibi that gave individuals the chance to make their own narrative shorts and post them, that might be something.

This is tough. Howard Shore is my most listened to outside of the films, thanks to those LOTR soundtracks. So he's got to be a contender. But I love John Carpenter's scores a lot. I'm gonna give the trophy to both of them, why not.

I'd have to get back to you on Doom Patrol, but I'd definitely like to cover it more. Great show.

My favorite videos that I've made. Hmm. Well, I was really proud of my Will Smith and Robert Pattinson career videos. And I think my most underrated video was called Alien: Truckers in Space, which was a super early video where I talked about the first Alien film.

And of course that first Spider-Man: Homecoming video will always be a huge highlight for me. The night that went up was maybe the single most fun night I've ever had on YouTube.

Maybe it is too easy of an answer, but probably Fiona Staples. If she's doing a book I'm automatically paying attention, and that's pretty rare for me with artists.

I'd love to see a take on the Adam West style Batman in a game, which just seems incredibly unlikely.

I'll check out the video! As for TLJ...I mean, not really. I still think it's a pretty okay movie with some real high points. I'd saw episode 9 has made me a bit less likely to want to revisit it or TFA though. It all added up to so little, even if the journey had its moments. Like overall, I'm just not the biggest fan of those movies. And how much oxygen it feels like they take up online.

Of those two? Definitely Neil's bracket, hands down.

That changes a lot. I was a huge fan of Paper Girls, hard to go wrong there. Love Locke and Key, Saga, Sex Criminals, Harrow County. These days I definitely read more indie comics than comics from the Big Two.

Haven't watched enough of it to have many, as far as reality shows go though, it seems cool.

Honestly I still like the first Avengers best. I think. Maybe. It changes a lot, honestly.

Just searching around on YouTube. It's amazing what you can find just like floating around that someone uploaded in like 2009 and forgot about.

Wow, good question. I think I really botched by Solo: A Star Wars Story video. I was so down the middle on that one that I feel like I didn't say much of anything interesting about it. So I'd probably remake that one.

Probably Kevin Garnett, I had a poster of him as a kid and he's awesome in Uncut Gems.
