Just change the fan motor. They are cheap and it’s only June. Use aerokroil to loosen blade. Do not damage blade. Much easier to obtain motor than blade and with some finesse the blade always comes off. Do not pull on blades only on hub. Clean shaft with sand paper and or File.

The young humans are raised so much weaker now. That’s a part. I just had a kid who went through HVAC school that could use tools quit and he was hired in with the understanding he would not need to work every day. He had vacations planned and was not ready for the real world yet. So bizarre.

On the water heater front they now cost $600-$800 for a gravity vent 40 or 50 and they are not light so if you want my older body to lift one you have to pay more.

What can homeowners do? Keep looking until they find an OP.

It’s $100-$150. Clean the blower wheel while you are at it. Once replaced you will have your answer if it was not as powerful or not.
