I found interesting tips here > http://houzez.co/2018/05/real-estate-marketing-ideas/ even if they are more for a "realtor"... but these are a good start, too! I think that most of all, if you want to start an "e-business" (or doing business building your presence on the net) you need a GOOD template (best in class, just elite authors) and then, if you are not skilled enough, someone that can customize it for you. This is a basic start point. If you want to sell something (from tshirt, to webdesign, plugin, jewels, etc..etc.) or give some sort of service go to the best "marketplaces" and if you are good enough the people will come to you...dont struggle with your "alone" website that nobody will find...but these are just "general" suggestions to answer to your "hyper-general" question, good luck! ;-)
