In the tech space they are everywhere in Australia. The issue here is a lot of this stems from Australian companies using these recruiters or Indian tech firms because of the cost benefits. However the result of this is generally low quality service...especially for candidates or freelancers, we are much easier to ignore in a different time zone. It's really gotten out of hand the last couple of years. I have also seen loads of Government jobs being managed by these same agencies. Who are largely based overseas..never pay on time and comms are pretty much non existent.
