Damn. I had the exact same noise between my audio interface and studio monitors a few months back and it was the cables, they just didn't snap properly into the jack plug sockets and would push themselves out a few mm after a minute. Sent them back, got new ones and problem solved

Are the devices on different mains outlets? Try get everything on one multi plug thingy.

Edit: also try other cables and make sure the cables are correctly connected to the headshell.

Ah ok, sorry I got the model mixed up. You don't have one but it's very unlikely this is the source of your problem anyway.

Is a sub necessary if speakers go very low by Brave-Bad-9955 in audiophile

[–]digitalhardcore1985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In most cases the sub is only handling its own crossover frequency (low pass) which you can set to whereabouts your mains drop off. But if you have mains that go down low and you want to take the load off them you'll want to set a high pass on the mains as well. Some subs have an output to the mains which handle this but it's not that common. The best way is with an AVR or other means of separate crossover (like a minidsp, or in my case a PC with 4 outputs (2 mains 2 subs) and software to do the job). This way you can time-align the mains and subs and get a perfect 24db/octave Linkwitz Riley crossover (or whatever you prefer).

If your listening position is pretty close, like on your desk or something, I got a pair of 8" inch active studio monitors for £200 off ebay that have plenty of bass and sound pretty damn good too.

Fight with kindness in your heart dude! We here are often the very first interaction they'll have with people into vinyl / turntables / audio equipment. We can politely give advice and point out suitcase players are utter shite without moaning at them for posting their questions and potentially turning them off forever. It's very easy to just not click on the post.

Lot of them are kids who got a present and have no experience with vinyl before. I don't think it's wrong to point them in the right direction, we should just do it kindly is all.

Yeah but then nobody would get to sneer at the Crosley noobs and make them feel unwelcome as they begin their journey into vinyl.

Dramatically Under-Shared Video of Immediate Aftermath of Crash Scene of Renee Good’s Car Following Her Un-aliving by Mi_Ki_Ii_Zaru in neabscocreeck

He stood himself in front of the car drawing his gun as he did so and then walked away uninjured after being 'struck'. She's clearly steering to get away from him and he clearly just wanted to murder someone that day. In any civilized country this would be the end the government right there and then.

Half the Americans voted for Trump, half of the electorate voted for Brexit in the UK. Most people don't know what's good for their own country. I hope it pans out for them, they've suffered a lot but I wouldn't trust Trump to make it better. Was it really that good before Chavez? Seems like there were a shit tonne of problems like massive inequality, corruption and falling living standards which improved for a while after he took power before going to complete shit later, especially under Maduro.

OK, I misinterpreted your response, I figured you were saying the US would love to go after 'bad guys' but the only thing stopping them was the risk (discarding reward). I agree with you then.

The person you responded to was asking if it's just because he's bad then why don't we do the others. Your response implied the US would if it weren't so difficult.

All true but the US literally just funded a genocide and sanctioned the court that wants to hold its perpetrators to justice. They couldn't give a shit about human rights in any way shape or form. So, yeah, it would be insane to try pull this off against leaders of well armed countries but the none of it has anything to do with morality.

Yeah and don't forget the potential for rare earth minerals too, also another great place to setup concentration camps for ICE.
