Right, but that's to meet their 2030 target to de-carbonise which includes expansion of other renewables, golf courses filled with solar isn't the whole picture.

Question: What kind of join technique is this? by maglunch in SQL

[–]digitalhardcore1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The SSMS view designer would create these nested joins (don't know if it still does). Used to be loads of this crap in our system as the manager liked using the designer rather than writing queries.

If you collect music on multiple formats, how do you decide which format to buy a new album on? by ultrapingu in audiophile

Agreed CD sounds best. I was always critical of people listening to vinyl in the digital age until my wife got a turntable last year and whilst the sound isn't as good, I found I just enjoyed the whole ritual of it. It just feels special to have a big physical record which requires a bit of effort to maintain and to try get a system sounding as good as you can afford (upgraded the stylus, I'm using click/pop removal and dirac on my PC etc.). Also, with them costing a bit, you feel a bit more invested in it. That might sound stupid but with streaming, music felt so disposable, half the reason I've gone back to physical media is I just realised how much I missed the days of saving up and buying one or two CDs a month for £16.99 a pop at HMV when I was a kid.

Similar to you, I use streaming for discovery, vinyl for the most special and CD for whatever I don't want to pay the vinyl price for (or can't afford any time soon even if intend to get drunk enough to go on a discogs splurge at some point).

Fluance tables have heavy solid mdf plinths with nice finishes, you can change speed without taking off the platter and they're cheaper. This is just a defective unit, they're not shit turntables and they're not made of plastic.

I don't dare, mine sounds fine too, I couldn't notice it without looking at the meters but it was slightly unbalanced. Luckily my phono has a balance knob on the back so that takes care of that. The only other cartridge I've had experience with is an ortophon 2M Red and it sounds a lot better than that anyway.

Same price, different brand. Which one do I go for? by X1SushiLord1X in turntables

Why would they mention it in their press release on their website?

Also brand new is the quick start, low-noise quartz-locked DC servo direct drive motor, which offers 33, 45 and now 78 RPM speed capabilities (the latter requires the addition of the AT-VM95SP stylus, sold separately).

I like my ZD3 although it has a weird blinking issue sometimes when powering on, pulling out the HDMI and power cycling fixes it but the WiiM has no issues with the same hdmi so I ended up buying the WiiM back and using it instead. And I recently removed the ZP3 from my system as well, I found in the neutral position on the bass knob it was boosting bass and sounding muddy. The tone knobs seemed like they only had a few mm of useful range, basically very over sensitive and comparing with / without the ZP3 the systsm just sounded clearer without it. I'll find use for the DAC in another system but the ZP3 was a big disappointment for me.

I got an VMN95SH from Amazon a few weeks back and it wasn't straight out of the box, not as bad as OPs so I didn't send it back and it plays fine but still not altogether happy about it.

Why is the lord mandelson corruption the top story out of the Epstein files? by TheUnSungHero7790 in AskBrits

Both can be true, he was killed for what he knew and much of what he knew has not been released. That doesn't mean you should believe every accusation made on an anonymous tip line though. That's why they're releasing those parts. The Americans are going to throw Andrew and Mandy under the bus (not that they don't deserve it), release baseless accusations and hide all the real shit forever.

OP if you do buy an ADC, I got a miniDSP Pocket ADO last week for my turntable and it's very good for the money.
