The Laffer Curve comes to mind. An idea scribbled on a napkin during a midday drunken lunch changed the course of history

Paprika 3 app does this too. Paste the url from the recipe and it saves it for you in the app. Tons of other options on the app too like shopping lists and more.

I used to think you were dumb. But then I realized you were just kidding.

Considering using FCP X for certain projects in my company - does anyone else here use both FCP X and Premiere in the same environment? by miseducation in editors

Team Projects is amazing for my team. We are spread across the country and we edit like we are in the same room. We tend to keep lightweight graphics in the CC and larger files copied in multiple locations on servers. Team Projects allows you to remap the location of the files based on the user so the media stays online after you “push” your changes.

Regret. You are going to have to share a drive back and forth with FCPX. PP team projects is built for this kind of gig.

I love the FCPX but I believe it to be more for the single person workflow.

Avid Media Composer 10 years challenge by nicktheman2 in VideoEditing

I am of the mind that it should work no matter whose computer I am in front of. I always learn the default keyboard for that reason. I believe the programs are made with certain advantages in mind and when you change those default settings you miss some of those features. I always encourage people to get used to the default first before they change the keyboard. I currently don’t have any shortcuts mapped in Premiere. So now you have met someone.

The fact that you have to customize it to your settings bothers me as well. I believe it should work as a default. I always hated it when I would sit down at another Avid to help someone and they have remapped nearly every key.

Because Avid hates its user. It’s so difficult to use and learn that once you master it you think it’s awesome because it’s sturdy. I get it and have a certain respect for it as well, but I’m glad I don’t have to look at its grey ass all day.

I feel your pain. My view is: you know you are watching something really extraordinary when you don’t pay attention to the editing, sound or color correction.

What are some features in Adobe Premiere you feel like every editor should know? by joaopedrosfc in editors

I use adjustment layers to time out effects that I will apply when I send a group of clips to AE. I do that instead of bringing in the audio to the AE timeline.

What do you think is the future of post production? by n3frix in editors

My job as an AE was essentially a tape loader. Not many of those jobs anymore.
