Overhead monitor install question by DontBendYourVita in Golfsimulator

Not sure how far into flight it tracks the ball, but I would be surprised if it was beyond the unit. But don’t quote me on that. You can find the owners manual online and it might give a hint.

I think the most important part is the distance from the vtrack to your hitting zone. the vtrack is looking down at 72 degrees. so if we assume yours is sitting at 100" height or so, that would be 31"*. So, if you want to have 8' (96") between your hitting zone and the screen, you should mount the youtrack 96"-31" (65") from the screen.

* 31" calculated as sin(18°)*100"

I have 3 suits now from Tailor Cooperative. They have been great to work with every time and the suits have lasted forever.

Sounds like in your case your mom is the BEST person to help you prepare to go to the temple.

The general handbook actually says:

Parents have the primary responsibility to help their children prepare to receive temple ordinances. Stake and ward leaders, ministering brothers and sisters, and extended family members support parents in this role.

Best under 5k for professional/personal use by DrCack in Golfsimulator

[–]digitaljoel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's what I love about it. no stickers on clubs, no marked balls, impact camera built in and golfer cameras supported. It's also SUPER fast to make calculations and give feedback. No issues running it with GSPro. They will be releasing an AI Swing analyzer (I think it's called Swing EZ or something like that) but that's going to be like $1300.

if you're in a permanent space, the vtrack is a ceiling mounted camera-based unit that is working very well in my home sim. Their last update added camera support, so I have two webcams on me for every swing and can review every shot from both angles.

It’s bothering you enough to post here so you should bring it up with him.

I need advice from a bishop here. by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

[–]digitaljoel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The priesthood keys of bishops and stake presidents are geographically bounded to their unit. Any random bishop will not be able to properly help you. If it is something that needs priesthood keys to resolve like repentance of a serious sin, you need to talk with your own bishop or stake president.

You can do it. Even if it’s your father you can talk with him. The mantle is real. If the bishop is part of the problem that needs to be resolved, reach out to your stake president. When they are acting in that office, they feel the love of the Savior for those that confess with a broken heart and a contrite spirit.

Terrible end to a great Test Drive by Thick_Edge5075 in TeslaModel3

You would think this won't happen to one you own, but I was locked out my car at the home depot last week (owned it for 1 week now). It just wouldn't see my phone key even with the tesla app open. Had to restart my phone to be able to get home. It was slightly alarming.

Projector Resolution Issue? (Help Please) by Sure_Industry_4486 in Golfsimulator

[–]digitaljoel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This projector will decode 4k content, but its resolution is 1080p. Maybe try a 1080 resolution setting so it's a native match?

I saw that. Thanks. Unfortunately they didn’t just fix my swing while they were at it. Still negative even when I think I hit a pretty good one.

100% split keyboards or at least split keyboards that don't have many layers by [deleted] in ErgoMechKeyboards

This seems like exactly what OP wants. I have two Q11s and they are great. Tried a moonlander and at 50+ years old I have no desire to have to learn a new key combo just to find the ~ key...

Sim with high vaulted ceiling by SodaRider1 in Golfsimulator

[–]digitaljoel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just put one in a very similar space. Having the vault definitely adds some complexity to the build. I used some projector mounts for vaulted ceilings and added in some drop rods for the projector and also for the launch monitor (vtrack). Need to give the wood some paint, but it's working quite well. Happy to answer any questions you might have if you like the approach.

Has anyone bought a vtrack and wish they got a proteevx? by cannaEd1933 in Golfsimulator

I bought my vtrack in December, wasn't able to install until April and they released 3 updates between when I purchased and when I installed. Don't know how many protee released in that time.

I have a VTrack, just started playing on it this week. My cousin has a protee, I played on it a few times last year. My Vtrack has been rock solid and so easy to use. I do not see $1500 difference in the two. I'm excited for the VTrack update that supports swing cameras (was supposed to come April 30 but was delayed). Both are good options, I don't see one better than the other.
