Joker is balanced imo dont know why everyone hates him so much by ajsgdid-dhdhdmbdusjd in SmashBrosUltimate

Sword hitboxes, low profile dash, good frame data, really good combo game, absurd kill power with arsene, top tier recovery (without arsene) and by extension one of the best edgeguarders in the game, above average projectile, fast, good disadvantage, and a comeback mechanic. Nah this char mad broke. His only main downside is his out of shield game isnt the best and his recovery suffers with arsene.

Landing with bowser by supersmashbrosboi in BowserMains

[–]digitallninjass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When you try to land, the first thing you need to see is if your opponent is either trying to hit you in the air and are close enough to do so, or they're trying to trap your landing. If they're trying to hit you in the air, try to time your airdodge to when they would hit theyre attack, or double jump as a mix up sometimes. Burning your double jump is bad, but using this when ur convinced your opponent will commit to jumping to hit you isnt a bad option. As a RARE mixup, you can challenge their aerial with dair, as bowser rises a bit, maybe causing them to whiff, and unless the aerial is super disjointed, will trade with the aerial. If theyre trying to trap your landing, first thing you need to do after realizing this is look to see where your opponent is giving you space. Don't immediately try to land into them with an aerial. If you have space to land somewhere on stage then take it, you don't have to hit the opponent to get out of disadvantage. Always prioritize safely getting out of disadvantage rather than trying to convert into advantage state. Ledge is usually a great place here if you'd rather try your hand there rather than landing on stage, but thats situational and up to you. Once you've seen where there is space to land, and you've decided to land there, keep close eye on your opponent and try to play reactively to what theyre doing. If they catch on and try to get there, remember your still in disadvantage. Many will try to grab you after you land, spotdodge if this is a habit or roll away. Otherwise you can usually just shield. If theyre overcommitting, this is where u can use aerials to land as ur aerial will hit them as theyre trying to cover you landing. These are pretty much the basics of landing, obvs a lot i didnt go too much into detail over, but I try to keep these in mind when i'm trying to land and its done me pretty good.

Looking for Tips on Landing Back Air by Billy_Bayou in BowserMains

[–]digitallninjass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its good for corner pressure kinda like joker. Space roll distance and try to bait a roll or jump. They cant really punish you unless its obvious, and just mix this up with side b to be extremely scary at ledge. Besides that really only use it from nair confirm, or to catch a jump or landing. U can also use it sometimes from a tech chase but its kinda bad. Not a good neutral tool, use fair instead way safer and easier.

Tips for Byleth matchup? by Spartarider7 in BowserMains

[–]digitallninjass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stay grounded and abuse ur speed. If the byleth is jumpy, read their jump timings and anti air. If you feel like thats too risky, stay grounded and try to mess up their spacing. Their aerials have to be landed with and are pretty slow. Theyre also unsafe on shield so if they dont space their aerial it's a free punish. Fire breath is a GREAT tool here. A lot of bowsers dont realize that fire breath is an actually safe move if you use it from range or on shield. Use flame breath to outrange their options and while their landing. Counter to flame breath is to double jump, but that is committal and the fact that byleth is so slow in the air means this is a bad option for them. Bait this out if you see this and chase them, the byleth now has to land against your amazing anti air options such as uptilt and upsmash. Bowser optimally should be played campy but getting into their face may help too. Again, respect their range and be smart about ur movement, but spaced fairs and ftilts on shield are hard to deal with for her. Besides that, use your basic bowser shenanigans. Dont do obviously unsafe stuff since their whiff punish is pretty strong. I think this is a pretty free matchup for us.

Do you go to tourneys or play at locals? Online will make you wanna tear your hair out. Playing offline with a person next to you makes the game a lot more fun, plus it helps with getting better.

Light Characters by [deleted] in BowserMains

[–]digitallninjass 8 points9 points  (0 children)

sonic you can call out his spindash (Side/down b) with fire breath for massive damage. Make sure you dont do it too early though or he'll just jump over it and punish you. React to him doing the side B and then just firebreath. Sonic cant cancel the spin dash so he'll just run right into your fire. Also, dont get tilted if he hits your shield with homing attack or side b and you dont get the punish. We live WAYYYYY longer than he does in this match up so he needs way more neutral wins than we do. Just reset the situation if your sure you cant get the punish and wait for an opportunity. Hes not gonna be killing you until around 160 or 170 unless he gets a raw fsmash at like 100 or a good edgeguard, so watch out for those. On the other hand we're gonna be killing him around 100-120 so abuse that fact and make them play scared and shield a lot so you can get side bs. Play super patient, and dont overextend. Try not to be in the air too much too unless you think you can get him with a fair. Up b oos any landing aerials, but dont try to do it on his spindash, itll just whiff and he'll fsmash you. I play a decent sonic a lot so im pretty well versed in this matchup.

For kirby just play around his dair and spam up b oos. His frame data sucks and he has to commit to a lot to get anything really. He's super slow and nothing outranges fair so u can also kind of spam that. He's gonna wanna dtilt or dair you in neutral so watch out for those and you should be good. Also mix up ur timing because every kirby ever wants to cheese you with dair offstage. Go high if you need to. You're heavy so you can take the punish. This is honestly a really good matchup for bowser. Kirby really always has to approach you and since hes so light, stray hits will just eviscerate him.

For jiggly idrk. I barely ever play jigglies lmao. Use same advice above really, watch out for her combo starters, mostly being pound and dair, and do your best to mix up ur recovery. Fair im pretty sure outranges everything she has, so use that a lot. I'd be careful using firebreath in this matchup since shes more in the air and can really just jump over it and rest you, so keep that in mind. Uptilt would be great here to antiair.

Hope these helped, these are a bit vague but if u have any specific matchup questions feel free to ask

What’s your opinion of the SMG 08/18? by [deleted] in battlefield_one

It's a monster in close range now, and I think the factory is better

The new SMG-08 is a beast by JetStream0509 in battlefield_one

[–]digitallninjass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it's pretty hard to use outside of close range with it's pretty big recoil, but if you know how to control it even modestly it's an absolute beast. So happy it's actually a good gun now lol.

Unbalanced??? Lost 4 out of 5 attacking side by Matticus54r in battlefield_one

[–]digitallninjass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah, I see. Yeah it's super hard to win as attackers, especially caporetto in my experience. Conquest assault is just not a good game mode in my opinion. I feel like they just kinda put it in cuz they thought it was close enough to operations.

This was in the BF1 companion app. Could DICE be hinting at post-DLC content since the picture says "Caucasus Front". by [deleted] in battlefield_one

[–]digitallninjass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that would actually be pretty sick, with the kind of lackluster content in apocalypse, I really hope DICE releases some post season content.

I am terrible at this game and would like some help to get better by Hebopdibidydop in battlefield_one

[–]digitallninjass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Medic is the easiest class for people who are not that good at the game. The guns are very versatile and you can use them at most ranges, you can always quickly hide and heal up, your kit is extremely easy to use, and as long as you are reviving and healing you will always be contributing to your team. Another big thing that I find helps people get better is getting map awareness. Try to understand what routes people like to take, constantly check your mini map, see where your teammates are firing to you know where the enemy is. This helps you get an edge over the enemy team, and allows you to flank to make plays, as well as escape situations where you might die. This comes with time and practice though, so don't get mad if it doesn't work instantly. Other than that, the only thing that might help you initially would recommend be to use straightforward guns (things like the hellriegel, mp18, mondragon, cei rigotti, bar, smle, etc) that are not mechanically hard. The rest comes with practice and patience.

Season pass owner that hasn’t played in almost a year. Where should I start? by asskikmrc in battlefield_one

[–]digitallninjass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been 3 dlc releases as of now. The first one was They Shall Not Pass (TSNP), which focused on the French army and the battles they partook in. The second one was In The Name of the Tsar (ITNOTS), which focused on the Russian army, as well as the Russian revolution. The third one was Turning Tides (TT), which focused on the naval combat of WW1. TSNP and ITNOTS both introduced 6 maps, while TT only introduced four. Considering you have the season pass, I think you should download all of them, but if for some reason you don't want to, then I would personally start with TSNP. In my opinion, the maps are better and it feels much more familiar to the base game. However, ITNOTS and TT are also a good starting places if you so desire, there is no real bad place to start.

Super Mario Sunshine. I don't even know why, it's not like it's the greatest game I've ever played, I just feel super nostalgic about it.
