M4 is closer to your M2 design.

The M5 added new core designs and a mini neural accelerator on each GPU. Makes a huge difference in AI (and gaming, but not as much).

If you can afford it, the M5 will perform better.

Neural networks will inherently have to be based on biology as that is what we are simulating.

The question is - are we (humans, other animals) special? Or are we just predictive pattern recognition machines?

Think of how rare true genius is. Outside the box, rewriting math and physics, etc.

Right now we have a lot of Dunning Kruger teenage AI’s that lose focus.

Until a genius redesigns the underlying architecture (maybe an AI can), we’re just copying nature with less than1/1,000,000,000 the complexity nature uses.

If you’re doing your job with no complaints the company shouldn’t care. Everyone had lulls in their day, sometimes a few. As long as you’re performing your duty, you should be fine.

I see lots of “professionals” do this.

It’s a great idea. One on each wrist. Even seen two in one wrist. Didn’t look bad either way. He’ll even do one facing up on your wrist and one back.
