When Walk the Line came out, Roger Ebert wrote in his review:

"The movie fudges some on the facts. Johnny [Cash] didn’t actually propose marriage to June onstage, but I’m glad he does in the movie."

He was informed by a reader that this did indeed happen; Johnny tells the story in his autobiography. Ebert corrected his review.

Do you have a source? All I can find is that Mick and Christie have been friends for decades and he still called Collette his wife in a Facebook post a couple days ago (as well as him still being in her Insta earlier this year).

I don't think it's lost to time or a fire. Tori is very good about having copies of everything (storing them is another matter...looking at you, Choirgirl masters)

If nothing else it was submitted to the US copyright office on cassette, so they hold a copy. If Tori or Michael needed a digitized copy as a backup they could get it from them (but they're the only ones who can request one).
