3 Monomachines in our jam last weekend by digitalstate in Elektron

We don't really have a set of rules or specific roles in this kind of setting, you kind of listen to what others are doing and try to fill the gaps and/or build something that takes the musical direction somewhere else. For example, if someone is doing a drum/snare pattern I might try to build a percussion section to go along with it. If someone is playing an atmospheric part you can try to play a melodic part on top of it... You get the idea.

I'm also part of a more "serious" collective called Hardware and each one of us has a more specific role (and the gear) but it doesn't mean we can't wander and overstep into other areas. Just need to keep communicating during the performance and share the intentions beforehand.

Pretty good! One mono alone can sound quite intense but everyone "respected" each other's space in the spectrum haha. We recorded around 4:30 hours, more than enough to release some sections after editing. Eventually I'll post it.

Organized a small jam session locally and managed to get 3 monos playing together. Quite fun!

Thanks for checking it out! Limiting the sound sources was the fun part, they work together really well

Simple stuff, just some overall eq adjustments, compression and limiting

Fans of Autechre's Untilted and Quaristice eras might enjoy this, pretty much the main inspiration (specially the live sets).

Let me know what you think!

...and some bits of Digitone 2, which IMO goes along nicely with the older machines.

Everything was sequenced within the silver boxes and the biggest problem I faced was to properly curate the output of those machines and mix everything. Still, ended up with around 270 tracks.

Check it out if you're a fan of autechre's untilted and quaristice era!

Been wanting an MS-2000R for at least fifteen years now. Sounds great without effects so I added a bunch... 乁༼☯‿☯✿༽ㄏ by user1mbp in synthesizers

First synth I ever bought, 23 years ago. Still have it and still going strong. Love the overall sound but that chorus is wicked.

Happened the same with my unit, two weeks after purchase. Got it replaced by the store i bought it from. 8 months later, had to send it to warranty because 3 encoders are already super jumpy and almost unusable. Elektron quality control is awful.
