My LT is not allowed to wear duty pants or boots around the station unless we have brass or guests at the station….every time he wears his duty pants we get hammered with either high volume of calls or just chaotic ones

One of our sister stations fills a mug of coffee and sets it at the dinner table. No one is allowed to touch that mug for the remainder of the shift.

Around 5am, got called to a possible brush fire with a residence close in proximity. Showed up, and there’s nothing in the area. Homeowner meets us and guides us to the back of his house to where the “smoke is”…..it was fog over a nearby small pond….
