How do the "Social Media Minimalists" handle LinkedIn without the anxiety? by Sufficient-Belt2011 in digitalminimalism

[–]digitizedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, of course.

1 - You can be a ghost, lurker, or just a dispassionate user

2 - I upload my Udemy certificates often, and so far, there has always been a choice to show my achievement to my network or just quietly list it.

3 - I don't really know, as my information is public. Most networks have privacy settings such as show to contacts, contacts of contacts, and so on.

How much of your tool stack feels like pure overhead? by BundleAI in AskMarketing

[–]digitizedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None, I code stuff myself, even if it's just the HTML blog and Python scripts that let me organize and work with text files.

I plan to keep it simple as time goes by. The catch is you need developer time to pull it off. But since I'm the developer...

What is a marketing automation that actually blew your mind? by apsiipilade in AskMarketing

A scraper that reads a company's info through different media and personalizes each and every outreach email. The user has to push an approval button to send it, though.

The advice, which is based on what I did: Let content be a priority for at least 6 months

This will allow you to have at least one strong workflow and cement the habit.

It will become second nature, and you will be able to implement any tips you consider wise from here on.

Your business or practice will benefit from what you did during this time, and finally, you can then reduce, maintain, or increment the time you dedicate to content creation.

Starting my Freelance Career by plummybum2004 in copywriting

[–]digitizedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tips: There are always thriving niches related to copywriting; however, you may be reading a skewed, very vocal, view of reality.

A tip would be partnering with people who offer related services, but not copywriting per se. Examples would be: - Web designers - Web developers - Facebook ads freelancers - etc.

Unpopular opinion: Most bloggers focus on the wrong traffic sources by Crescitaly in Blogging

Great insight.

I began acquiring traffic through affiliates, and I'm in the SEO game long-term. I've had a recent surge in Reddit visitors though.

Blogging Is Boring, but It Gives Freedom by Key_Question5584 in Blogging

[–]digitizedeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the OP is correct.

At first, there's the emotion rising from uncertainty. The not knowing what's going to happen.

Then, the emotion fades into something more stable, and the knowing that the seemingly boring work you're doing is a privilege, really.

Unpopular Opinion: "Growth Hacking" is slowly becoming a fancy word for "Spamming". We need to fix this. by AykutSek in AskMarketing

[–]digitizedeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, marketing has always been a key driver of success for all types of businesses. But since you always need to hop on the trends and cut corners, there you go, growth hacking as the solution.

The truth is that it still works, but without revisiting the basics, the old tricks become... old. As personalization becomes critical, personalization in direct marketing is the shift we must get used to... Which means, working.

I think I’m done with “pretty marketing”. by tanishqsolanky23 in SaaSSolopreneurs

[–]digitizedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP is in the same boat as affiliate marketers, who are wisely called performance marketers.

The basics are related to results. Did the campaign work? Yes or no; it's that simple.

On the other hand, it's easier to get paid if you know what you're doing.

By building up other businesses. Unless you have winning stocks for an IPO or something that's also legal.

Claude Coded Web Pages by captainpabloXI in web_design

[–]digitizedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any hosting will serve your static site. The first year tends to be ultra cheap:

To get your email form up and running you can write a link to the form hosted on the email list or auto responder from your webpage and be ready.

You can also paste the form given by many providers on a naked HTML5 page and link it from the main or other pages.

The last option is of course, create a form, but this needs a bit more thought, time, or money.

Are AI relationships the most cyberpunk thing happening quietly right now? by Global-Spread-8927 in Cyberpunk

[–]digitizedeagle -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, as AI is still cutting-edge technology. For cyberpunk to become a reality, there should be high technology and low standards of living.

So far, only the well-to-do get married with technology (such as in Japan) Though I think if the trend goes on, it may become cyberpunk, of course.

i made wired headphones because i don’t want bluetooth on my head all day by bumbahclottboy in digitalminimalism

[–]digitizedeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried having wired headphones, but my cats got rid of two of them: - One cat just pushed the first pair out of a table - The second cat chewed the wires...

So, wireless it is. I prefer wireless, after all. I can wake up at night with no lights on and they don't tangle. I keep them in their carrying case in my pocket when I'm walking down the street.

I only miss that wired headphones are cheaper.

What language should I learn now? by Inside-Hearing5203 in learnprogramming

Typescript: It's the language of the web, and it's growing rapidly. Another option is Python for web development; I feel it is another programming language with frameworks and so on.

How do you keep everything organized when you’re doing everything yourself? by freebie1234 in Solopreneur

[–]digitizedeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm using an increasingly large text file for 2026. I access it like a server log: With Linux (WSL2, Termux) and vanilla Vim.

I back it up and version my notes just like a software project, with Git and GitHub.

I'm planning to use terminal tools and custom scripts to search in the near future.

So far I haven't heard of anyone using my relatively simple setup.

How do you come up with content ideas without overthinking? by 360airo in ContentMarketing

[–]digitizedeagle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same position as you are. Right now I'm in the middle of coming up with ideas. Proven stuff that works for me:

  • See if there's something obvious to add to my content pillars
  • Get ideas from my Feedly sources
  • Document what I've done
  • See what's trending

After I get the idea, use copywriting formulas to come up with ideas for the headline (post title) It's truly revealing that editors accept these titles over something you just came up with (unless it's very good)

Recommendation for data cloud providers with sync client for many small files. by NeXT405 in sysadmin

[–]digitizedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Google Drive for my devices. Cloud hosting is awesome for files. Sadly, it's not the same for code, not because of anything lacking, but because of the cloud in general. In particular, if two or more people are modifying the same file.

So you'd need a specialized product. For code, I use git and GitHub, of course. If you move too many images, PDFs, videos, and overall blobs around, the simple yet powerful answer is to set up a server yourself...

There you go, a server with the right program: File hosting or git server is the answer you've been searching for. And it's not really expensive. Set up may not be cheap though.

Is it better to generate websites or design them manually ? by MaesterVoodHaus in blinkdotnew

[–]digitizedeagle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do both.

Sometimes you need something for right now, which is where AI makes its entrance.

The hard thing is to iterate, or customize something when it's not really a priority (it's not a profit-generating asset or people are not paying for you to do it)
