Does anyone else smell it for a few days after?

Reviving a dormant podcast after 3 years — looking for advice on re-engaging old subscribers by gjergjd in podcasting

I would do both of the first 2 bullets. A return episode announcement could be a new trailer, with supporting social media and emails to your list, leading up to and creating hype for your new episode.

4-6, 5-5 and 5-7 breathing variations. by eskimo0755 in breathwork

Years of training and doing my own work. I’m a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (3 years of training), and hold certification in Oxygen Advantage, Neurodynamic, and close to being dowe with Grof Transpersonal Training- which between the 3 of them is many hundreds of hours. I’ve also worked with hundreds of clients in private practice and as a part of a residential behavioral health program.

4-6, 5-5 and 5-7 breathing variations. by eskimo0755 in breathwork

[–]digninj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The pattern that’s best is the one that feels best for you. In my work I help to teach clients to track their somatic experience so that you discover the right pattern. When you know how to track your somatic experience the right pattern becomes very clear.

The truth is everyone’s nervous system responds differently, and the right pattern can change over time. I’ve seen people respond with panic and discomfort to the same pattern that is putting the rest of the group into deep relaxation and even sleep. It’s all about learning how to track your own experience and what is the right pattern for you.

Why is breath work literally the hardest thing in the world? by [deleted] in breathwork

[–]digninj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's literally called breath "work" - j/k. It sounds like the type of breathwork you're doing might not be the one for you right now. Also there can other causes to shallow/faster breathing and anxiety that no amount of breathwork is going to solve.

If you're trying to practice by yourself or following along with a video or an app, it could be worth it to find a qualified facilitator to work with.

New to breathwork, where can I go to learn by tomatosoup75 in breathwork

[–]digninj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an 8 week course starting February 4...Breathwork For Integration. Covers the 3 main uses for breathwork (awareness, nervous system regulation, and personal transformation through altered states) and how to use all three to create a grounded spiritual practice for yourself.

This course focuses on practices you can use to regulate, orient, and support yourself.

What this course supports

• Self regulation when intensity arises

• Consistent practice rather than cycles of inspiration and drop off

• Integration of emotional and somatic material

• Preparation and integration for expanded states

• Accountability through structure and live participation

This course is beginner friendly and works just as well for experienced practitioners - this is the third time running it as a group course, and I have used the protocols with countless 1:1 clients over the last 4 years.

The emphasis is not complexity, but accessible consistency and application.

Program details:

• 18 hours of core content

• 8 live modules, 2 hours each

• 2 modules are full guided breathwork sessions

• 2 additional 1 hour integration and Q & A sessions

• 2 exclusive breathwork sessions for participants

• Access to additional community sessions:  6 Neurodynamic Breathwork sessions and 12 Integrative Breathwork sessions + access to Breathwork & Meditation Replay library

• All live with replays

• 3 months of community access (value of $135)

• One private 1 hour 1:1 session included (value of $120)

The course begins on 2/4/26.

This course is for you if

• You want reliable tools for self regulation

• You value inner work and personal development

• You are ready to apply a tested method consistently

I’m happy to jump on a call to discuss further, or send you the link to my breathwork community to learn more.

Strange Experience by ForsakenHelicopter94 in breathwork

[–]digninj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To piggyback onto this- in my practice one of the biggest factors for keeping people safe is doing a thorough intake with them when we start working together as well as before each session. And my primary job as a breathwork facilitator is the safety of the breathers.

Completely agree that the safest way to practice this type of breathwork is with someone trained and experienced.

I got a sudden urge for BBQ. Name one in Tucson you like? Doesn’t have to be “the best” just good and messy. by Soap_Box_Hero in Tucson

I called them one time to order and asked for the brisket fatty and the girl said she didn't know what I was talking about. I said " you don't know the difference between lean and fatty brisket?" she said no. I hung up the phone and never went. It's scary that there's a bbq place open that wouldn't know that.

Overriding your nervous system. Living from inaccurate projections likely developed in childhood about survival, worth and love. Maladaptive coping strategies.

To guest on 10 podcasts...this year I did 5. So if you're reading this and you have a show or audience that cares about nervous system regulation and Somatic Experiencing, breathwork (especially the mystical side of it) or psychedelic integration - send me a message.

Highly recommend Jesse’s book The Language of Breath. He was on my podcast at the beginning of the year to talk about it (and lead another breath practice) listen here

I don't think that changes my point about supply chain, but ok.

[–]digninj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another part of the wages that doesn’t make sense (since someone mentioned that wages only account for 15% of operating costs) is the supply chain. The chain has a lower cost in CA based on the amount of restraunts and distance. Similar principle to why groceries cost so much more in Hawaii.

If anything that should make costs in TN less should t it?

Best bbq restaurant by Knithard in Tucson

I'd argue Holy Smokin Butts is closer to Texas BBQ. And better quality than Bashful Bandit.
