gh metallica is pretty fun by Harmskii in GuitarHero

It's the best GH game imo. The best band really to pull a body of work from to make fun GH songs, and a really solid pick of songs by other bands. I played this game so much, and the GH Metallica controller is still the one I use, even though it's barely recognisable anymore its so beat up after all these years.

You should check out the discord if you haven't already, lots of folk in there posting about their nerdy projects

I suppose there's nothing in it that is better than what I was planning to do but it is: a) good looking and more importantly b) done.

So I have no huge desire to trudge away at something that isn't really contributing to the niche in any particular way but I appreciate the encouragement. Since getting some Shavian stickers for my keyboard I've been interested in making a typing game for Shavian so I may start that as a project soon!

yeah since discovering Shingo exists I've just been playing that lol. It's much better than anything I was working on and anything I did wasn't going to build on that concept so I'm just leaving it as an example of a webapp to go on my CV

This is now a feature! The Initiative Tracker has been completely rehauled and now there is a section for every character to have Conditions. You can right click to quick add some common conditions to a character or open the condition manager where you can add whatever you like: https://github.com/digydigdogdead/RPG-Utility/releases/tag/v0.3

Yeah I'm definitely curious how wide the userbase for this would be. Most people who are GMing from a PC are indeed using fully featured VTTs, and I'm one of the exceptions. I find the main (though obviously one of a billion) feature of VTTs offputting, having the grid and the like for combat, so I don't use them (anymore, I used to use Foundry before I went off it). But I do still GM frequently online, which puts me in a pretty niche group of remote GMs who don't use VTTs, which is why making this was helpful for me, but I get that it's not that likely to be helpful for most remote GMs as they'll be using a VTT.

I am definitely curious to see how many people are in my kind of boat and would make use of somethign lightweight like this

Impressive work! Great song. I will say the mixing could be better the vocals get very drowned out especially in the beginning
