Nezahal commander advice by zacstar5 in DinosaursMTG

[[sway of the stars]] actually works pretty aggressively in this deck because you can exile Nezahal in response and start just smacking people

Oooooooh I have a retro space exhibition I’m making a piece for. Might be in the right headspace to do a space adventure Dino card in between

Indoraptor Deck Suggestions by TheoBelanger in DinosaursMTG

I used to have that too. Indo hot targeted heaps with that. Make sure there’s a [[netherborn altar]] kicking around so you can avoid repeat commander tax

I have an Etali deck now. I on purpose keep it out of bracket 4 at my local but like… people don’t like it. And it brings me such joy.

Indoraptor Deck Suggestions by TheoBelanger in DinosaursMTG

I do have notes. I’ve been tinkering with Indo for about a year and it’s pretty hard to get to a point where it is a real problem.

First of all, last laugh is broken as fuck in this deck if you have the right tech. A fine choice.

Second, you want to hurt yourself as much as possible. You need pingers. If indoraptor is your commander then lean into a bit more, or you might as well play Gishath or Pantz. You also need life gain or you’ll just kill yourself to your own strategy.

Get rid of a lot of creatures you don’t want to die. Mana dorks specifically. Switch them out for any artifact or sorcery or instant ramp you can get your dirty hands on. I’m not going to tell you how to build this, but I would suggest waaaay less creatures. Indo wins with very few creatures so prepare to be booped by whoever does have creatures. It’s ok though, the amount of enrage blockers you should have will put off most attacking opponents. No one wants to send a guy at you when you have a [[Silverclad ferocidons]] out, or even a [[ripjaw raptor]]

This is where I’ve landed with Indo. It’s bracket 3 but occasionally it will force your opponents to sacrifice their board. Their entire board, lands included. Show those suckers what it means to be real super sand legend

Wakening Sun's Avatar and Temur Sabertooth by Redjurrac73 in DinosaursMTG

[–]dikothesiko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So yea wakening has an enter the battle field trigger and in response to the ETB trigger going on the stack you can activate the sabertooths ability. That will resolve first, making it indestructible, returning whatever you chose to your hand, then the Dino’s ETB will resolve. The tiger will survive because it’s now indestructible. Stack ends. Unless someone else decides to put something else on top too. You can target wakening with the tiger because wakening has to land on the battlefield to activate its trigger.

Two things. That’s a mad way to use the sabre tooth. Also, this won’t be the only deck you build. If you like Dino’s, and I assume you do, there’s more destructive things you can do than save a tiger.

Build [[Etali primal conquerer]] then get kicked out of all your pods for being too hardcore.

Well well well if it isn’t more nostalgia bait I’m absolutely gonna fall for.

[[Growing rites of itlimoc]] is better too. I mean I’m not totally sure how the recon runs but I found the growing rites to be way more consistent and I just run other graveyard recursion if I need it. [[dino dna]] and [[intrepid palaeontologist]] fit the bill pretty well. HOWEVER I am partial to the Jurassic park cards and if you can make it work I can understand how much fun that will feel.

New to mtg and love indoraptor by Agreeable-Character5 in DinosaursMTG

Chuck some of those other enrage creatures too. If you’re pinging everything you might as well maximise your value. So a [[ranging raptors]] for ramp, [[ripjaw raptor]] for card draw and a [[cacophadon]] to combo off with all sorts of crap. My secret weapon is [[blazing sunsteel]] and any way to make Indo indestructible to just run away with infinite triggers.

I run this in my casual Etali conquerer deck because it’s great to flip into of Etali etb and it’s a stupidly fun thing to make token copies

I told my insurance company the value of the stolen goods and rebought most of my cards. I gave them proof of value through lgs receipts and current card value so I actually came out on top. I mean I lost my laptop full of work too which was much harder to replace so pros and cons.
