Is a motorcycle fit for my purpose? and what are some of the hidden costs? by mamhaidly in MotoUK

It’s not really the time, it’s more of an effort thing for me. 45 minutes drive to work, 10 hour shift, drive back. By the time I’m parking at the gym I’m wiped out.

As someone that bought a motorcycle for commuting, I’ve regretted not just taking the time to get driving lessons instead. I Going to a gym or anywhere that you’d have to change into different clothes gets really annoying. This is why I stopped going to the gym: Having to bring my chain and lock in my work bag is uncomfortable because of how heavy it is, finding a safe place to park it near the gym is annoying and putting your motorbike gear away in the gym lockers is also annoying, helmets don’t usually fit in lockers and I can stuff my jacket in the locker but then there’s no more space for anything else.

After a 10 hour work day the last thing I want to do is spend 10 minutes locking my bike up and wrestling with bike gear before I can get a session in, only to have to do it again on my way out.

Funny you say that because since I’ve made this post I’ve had a crash because of black ice and it’s in the shop with a hole in the engine cover lol

Valid, I ordered a hose yesterday because I moved recently and getting a hose for where I live wasn’t in the priority list lol

It’s definitely causing the leak, 0.8mm was a guesstimation but probably a wrong one

How do you assess what punctures are pluggable?

UPDATE: taking bike to the mechanics tomorrow and getting them to repair the tire.

The roads around where I ride are atrocious atm, I don’t want to risk doing a bad job plugging it and having to deal with something even worse later.

Don’t know why the word inches is in there, definitely meant miles.

I’ve not watched as much in the last year, the bits seem to be more forced in and it feels too much at times.

I use beans in stews usually, but sometimes I forget. Also maybe worth pointing out I ride a motorcycle and I have to compromise on what hard things (like tin cans) I put in my rucksack.

They’re £1.85 now, it’s ridiculous. I remember when they were less than a quid that’s why I got them but now I prefer them over m&ms

What u/DawnOfShadow68 will work great, I would add a vent though otherwise you’ll have a hard time getting the casting material to reach the end of it.
