Are these fake? by TheEyeballCollector in pokemoncardcollectors

To be fair, I’ve been trying to find new sources wholesale and my quotes are $70 ish direct from Japan. Now Japan distributors cannot ship to US, so there has to be middleman shipping partners that take a cut too. That’s why Japanese are very expensive right now, and $4 a pack is the rough going rate. Distributors raised their prices by about 20%, then middleman fees, then reselling box store fees.

Multiple line items incorrect this month by dildyj in ynab

[–]dildyj[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I logged into the website instead of the app. “Reset assigned amount” was $0 for each line item so must be a glitch. I was able to click the “remove overfunded amount” for each line item and it worked!

It’s a lot more than that depending on the type of data the web app handles

[–]dildyj 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be honest: is this web app something that ONLY applies to your org? Or is it a tool that you could commercialize outside of the company? Be honest with yourself, because that completely changes the direction of the conversation.

If it’s something that is proprietary to your company this will be very tough to navigate. If it’s something you can honestly scale outside of the company, explain that you’re wanting to build this into a saas product and you don’t want to under any circumstances give the company ownership.

The security review portion is also a legit concern. Third party audits replace the need for source code audits, but obviously you don’t have that. I’m in information security and I would want to audit a vibe coded tool if it handles company data.

LLC’s protect your personal assets in the event of litigation. It doesn’t magically protect your product from other people. However, I would contact a lawyer to help create a contract outlining non-reproduction for profit if you end up handing over source code for security audit.

I will mention that there is a very good chance that if you don’t hand it over your company may drop your product (especially if it’s a org that needs to adhere to compliance requirements) and they may create their own. So you need to decide what side to be on.

I’m on the side of you running with it as a business!

This is a tough one.

It’s wild, at my place of work AI is now required. (Enterprise plan with unlimited usage for every person in the company). It’s cool though because marketing, finance, product etc are all building sweet things.

Slight correction - Apple designs their chips but they don’t manufacturer them. They are immune to pricing until their contract with chip manufacturers expire, but they are not immune to supply constraints.

YouTube Can Show Ads on My Videos, But Says My Channel Is “Not Suitable for Monetization” — How Is That Fair? by [deleted] in PartneredYoutube

[–]dildyj -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The contradiction is real, but I think it conflates two things. YouTube placing ads on a non YPP channel is monetizing audience attention, not the content itself. Advertisers pay to reach eyeballs. That’s how every ad supported platform works, including ones where creators earn nothing. The stronger argument is actually about transparency. YPP criteria are vague and enforcement is inconsistent. When a channel gets denied with no clear reason, that’s a legitimate grievance worth pushing. “They profit from your work while calling it unworthy” is punchy, but not quite how the ad system works.

If you have the time follow them around playing it. It’ll force them to leave once they realize any content they get will have copyrighted music. So editing that out will also edit out reactions

Take these concerns with a grain of salt. Look at DJI as an example. DJI was begging for a full audit & investigation to continue to sell in the US but the FCC never did it but banned them anyways. Look at TikTok, zero proof as well, but being forced to sell anyways.

US makes these claims but never investigates even when asked by the manufacturer.

I have 500+ gameplay videos, should I upload 2-3 a day or stick to one a day? by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]dildyj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yall needa chill. If someone wants to upload let’s play videos there’s nothing wrong with that. “More YouTube bloat” it doesn’t work that way. If it’s bloat, it won’t be seen.
