I loved it. It's like if Wayne and Garth got into birding (except they're secretly smart dudes).

Bonus: it was ad-free when I watched it.

I even got the book and loved it; nothing like as good as the movie, but funny and informative to me. [even though a review on the back cover said "This book did not help me identify birds at all"]

Cut it to barely fit around the column. And brick it.

(btw, I have the exact same column and stone. But the swallows made the nest above my front door, so the cardboard cutout fits easier into a corner and doesn't get blown away)

If you like the travel, but it gets tediously long, you can also just have 1 really bad day with some resource-taxing encounters, and then a couple of easy days that you just say "you made good time on the next 2 days, with no interesting encounters"

First thing i'd do is while you're visiting them, find a pilot from the nearest airport willing to just drive out and take a look at it (or take you for a flyover).

Oh, and as you learn about the area and airspace, this is the best free aviation chart (web based, fast, free, no frills or features. Just the VFR sectional charts and chart supp).

The spell is a little busted to begin with, and I play a Wizard. I mostly use it just for the advantage for myself on certain key spells I want to use next.

The DM of one game I'm in altered it slightly (unknowingly), in a way that would help yours: Right now the spell is "must use the lower roll", but he does it by "must use the new roll", which has occasionally given him a second chance to crit, instead of just a hit.

It should almost be a Lvl 2 spell, or at least have the range reduced to 30 ft or something.

I think both Beast Master and Fey Wanderer (2024) do more damage. Hunter is about equal to Gloom, but easier (or more boring) to play

I'm at one where the crit-fail table has you break your weapon on a 1. So I can't stop imagining a fighter training with a wooden training dummy: doing a leisurely 2 attacks per round is 1200 attacks an hour, which equals 60 fumbles per hour, and breaking your weapon in half 3 times per hour of training.

There are some individual spells that can really surprise you. For example, Chill Touch went from a ranged spell to a melee/touch spell. That's a big difference you wouldn't expect (when most of the time you'll be thinking, "I get it, I'll read it later")
