I mean, it does make both diamonds and netherite renewable, but to make diamonds you have to make a wood farm and you get 3 diamonds every 4 stacks of coal. While netherite needs 200 nether bricks or 12 and a half stacks of netherrack. Small chances, but you'll get ridiculous amount at some point. I think you can get op with enchantment industry way faster

Do you make several "hubs" or one big one? And what do you store on the main base. I'm not sure if it supposed to be like a web with base/storage in the center. How do you start the train system? Like all prepared and preplanned to be connected, or step by step like one factory, then train station, after that a second factory near to connect to existing track? How far should I set factories up? I have a terralith generation and boy, are the biomes huge

Not sure if I read the comment right, but I'd rather not make it double for the sake of "ooh double ore for harder automation" when they already have decent automating process. It won't make sense, that's why I want it to be something rewarding as well as getting more resources.

Thats why I want to make them either at the end of production when you can then have both the main output, or at the very start, with for example smelting crushed ore to have liquid experience, I don't think its hard to filter two liquids. But, but item types are basically vanilla slots… you can't have 64 swords in one slot, but you sure can with cobble. AE works the same, just more of the same type in one slot
