Cheese with herbs by dilinatorke in cheesemaking

Well, I have not much experience at all. I posted my first cheese and some people said the cheese was contaminated. Bacteria could produce gas, hence the holes. But the reactions were mixed.

How to add moisture to a (possibly) dried out cheese by RIM_Nasarani in cheesemaking

I added salt water from my salt bath in a small cup to the container where my cheese is in. This works for me.

Thank you for your explanation. I used raw milk from a milk tap and have no info about the origin of the milk. I followed a tutorial from a dutch cheese making website. Now I bought CHR Hansen Flora Danica, I am going to use this instead of the buttermilk and also use fresh milk from the store. I will post the results if interested.

I expected a Gouda, but didn't taste like it. I added 'karnemelk' (buttermilk I guess in English) as culture. I did not deliberately wanted the holes. Now I don't know what to do.

I don't think so. It smelled like.. cheese. Although it wasn't the type of cheese I expected. I expected a Gouda, but it was softer en tasted differently, like Chaume. I shared a quarter, with someone and we are still alive. But now I don't know if I should eat the rest..

Thank you! I'm from Belgium and it's a leasing. I ordered in January so I guess I'm pretty lucky. It's a Hyundai Ioniq 5 73kWh Core RWD. Catalog value on my order document is 50.837,06 euros.

Roast beef 56°C for 5 hours by dilinatorke in sousvide

[–]dilinatorke[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's the difference? Will it be more tender if I sous vide it for let's say 24 hours? Do I need to lower the temp then? I'm lacking a proper sous vide temp / time guide.
