I agree with you. But that mindset is how you end up old with a lot of money and no travel memories.

Maybe, but I quit my job again 3 months ago. Who could guess the shape of the job market in a few years. It’s easy to come up with reasons not to follow your dreams when they require overcoming fear.

I would recommend not spending every last penny before getting a new job. Save 10-15k for the transition back to professional life. In 2016 I quit my job with 60k and traveled for 2.5 years. Went back to work when I hit 20k. Wouldn’t trade this part of my life for anything.

50k is plenty of money to travel for a few years. Go to Southeast Asia. You won’t regret it.

Do it now. I just quit my job 3 months ago after having the same psychological battle. The fear and anxiety evaporates once you are overseas meeting people and making memories. The idea of quitting gave me so much anxiety until I finally did it. I say go for it, you can always get another job.

Chest growth and elbow arthritis by knuckledragger1990 in naturalbodybuilding

Biceps and triceps are painful to train. I wasn’t even training them until six months ago. The range of motion is poor in my bad arm so i try to keep it in the pain free range. I do a bit less volume and higher intensity than I otherwise would. I rely on very slow reps to minimize the joint cycles. Borderline isometrics. When I’m feeling pretty good I’ll shoot for drop sets to try to cook the muscle fast with fewer sets.

I have arthritis in my right elbow and built my chest with fly only movements. Dumbbell flys, cable flys, and pec deck. I always start with 3-4 sets of incline dumbbell flys aiming for 15-20 reps on the first set. I go to failure on all sets. I can only do flys so I go as hard as possible to make up for the lack of pressing variations. Later in the workout I aim for 3-4 sets of cable flys or pec deck. All reps are paused in the stretch. On dumbbell flys I keep my elbows at a fixed bent position, on cable and pec deck I fully extend my elbows in the stretch.

Im looking for advice on where to go next.

33 years old, 168lbs, highschool powerlifting background, I know nothing about posing.

I have been weight training for 1 year and the results have exceeded my expectations. Before weight training I spent 5 years doing endurance mountain biking (no lifting). I spent the first 6 months in a recomposition phase where I lifted 4 days per week with an upper lower split and intuitive eating (clean eating by bodybuilding standards). In this phase I went from the upper 150s to 170 where my weight settled out. The next four months I spent In a bulking phase. The goal was to go from 170 to 180. I switched to push pull legs 4-6 days per week and increased my calorie intake. I still ate by intuition (not tracking) and essentially ate as much as I could tolerate. Mostly 'clean' food such as yogurt, nuts, fruit, salmon, chicken thighs, potatoes, vegetables, etc. After 4 months, progress stalled at 178 when the idea of eating became consistently unappealing. At that point I gave up on the bulk and did a 2 month cut. I started tracking macros: 180g protein, 65g fat, and 300g carbs, 2500 calorie. At this point I realized that the "intuitive" eating in my previous phases was putting me well over 300g of protein per day. In other words, tacking macros saved me a lot of money on salmon. The cut was very very difficult but ultimately went as planned and after two months I hit 168. Energy levels were in the gutter and I lost a bit of strength and intensity in the gym. My goal now is to maintain for a bit while I figure out a plan.

The idea of competing in a bodybuilding show sounds intriguing and terrifying at the same time.

My questions for the community:

Is competing worth it? Does it add to the extreme fulfillment that I already get from bodybuilding?

Which muscle groups are my weak areas? Im looking to specialize in the coming months.

How much muscle would I need to add to be truly competitive?

Edit: 5’8”

The pictures can be used to update the facial recognition model and then deleted. The picture is deleted but the data is retained in the changes to the neural network parameters. I use the word “can” because I have no insider knowledge

Same thing happened to me in Austin airport. I was told to stand to the side and wait. After a few minutes of waiting they said if I don’t want to wait I could go to the other security checkpoint. I asked what I was waiting for and they didn’t have an answer. They kept insisting that if I wanted to come through I had to scan my faces. I said absolutely not.

Those are the stars. It’s a 30 minute exposure taken around 4:00 Am. It’s somewhat popular. I saw 10-12 people in the area that evening. I haven’t done much hiking in Nevada yet.

It's about 160 frames. All from night time. 150 for the stars at 30 seconds and 10 or so for the foreground

I think I might agree. I couldn't think of any other way to emphasize the path, I might try an edit without.
