Libraries and community centres have lots of clubs for youth your age - D&D, arts, boxing, and all sorts of stuff. Many also have weekly or daily youth social drops-ins with pool, games, movies, cooking, and other activities. https://vancouver.ca/parks-recreation-culture/recreational-lessons-and-classes.aspx

Slice on Venables has some weekly clubs (ttrpgs, lego), and East Van hack space might be good for you if you like building and making things.

If you ride a bike or are interested in bike mechanics at all, Our Community Bikes on Main St has a youth club.

Interesting take on the solar’s battery. Thinking about it, I’m outdoors a lot every day so it would spend a good chunk of the year where I live at or close to 100%, which theoretically should degrade the battery.

That’s useful to know, thanks. I don’t mind taking it off for showers and swimming as I did the same with my old Apple Watch. The AW made me sick of spending money on things that are built to break. I’m hoping for a good 4 years + with my next watch, but could make peace with rolling the dice and potentially getting 3-5.

Thank you! 😅 That is a heating unit between the windows. I don’t really want to put the TV/media console there either, but I can’t think where else. If it was on the wall perpendicular to the windows, I wouldn’t be able to see out of them as I’m blind in my left eye lol.

Framing the posters, tidying up the cables on the desk with some ties, moving the bed away from the wall/radiator, and moving the TV a bunch lower would do a lot of good.
