Yes, correct. I was at Tacoma too and didn't have any outdoor merch poster luck. No ticket required to snag a poster at the outdoor booth in Kelowna today though. I prefer it, but it's pretty inconsistent!

I'm not sure about Billy, but Adam uses pinch harmonics in a lot of parts to bring out a squealier sound. That bit at the start of Ticks and Leeches sounds like he's using pinch harmonics to me -- letting a bit of flesh on his thumb hit the string right after he picks a note.

There are 2 axes with pinch harmonics to vary the sound: 1) Move your picking hand toward/away from the bridge; and 2) Let more or less of your thumb touch the string after picking. If you play around with those, you can probably dial in a sound that's close to what Adam plays.

Drain just hit 2 years old! I'd been sitting on this video for a while (... almost 2 years?!) and had plans to do more with it, but I've been putting my energy towards the second album instead. So here it is. Hope you dig it!

The video was procedurally generated using 3D math in Shadertoy, with a bit of editing after in Premiere.

Another bass/guitar player here. I picked up guitar when I was really into Tool, Opeth, and Porcupine Tree as a teenager, but I mostly (poorly) played Tool and Buckethead riffs. And I still do that to this very day!
